Non-Dynastic Vintage Champions - Play in - MadNess* vs Fadeaway_J

Here is a quick list of what you need in your writeup.

1. Specific years for each player on your team
2. Rotations and minutes for each player
3. Reasoning as to why your team will win and/or why people should vote for you.

Do not vote in this thread until both managers have submitted their writeups. Once the writeups are posted, I will add a poll, and the team with the most votes after 24 hours will advance. EACH MANAGER SHOULD ALSO VOTE FOR THEIR OWN TEAM IN THE POLL - IF YOU FAIL TO DO THIS, YOU ARE SIMPLY GIVING AWAY A VOTE. If the votes are tied, we will decide the matchup via AI vote.

You are not required to state or explain your vote, but you are free to comment in the thread if you want to.

If writeups aren't posted within 24 hours, we will vote solely based on the players they have drafted (and any rotations they have posted on their roster page).

22’-23’ PJ Tucker 3.0 FGA
22’-23’ Luguentz Dort 8.3 FGA
92’-93’ Charles Oakley 5.3 FGA

Total: 87.7 | 88.0 FGA

WRITE UP:
GL FADE

Defense:

Dort on SGA (also some Thabo). Dame on Batum. GH on Klay. KD on Chet. Ewing on Reed.
Plan to make life difficult for SGA and keep him busy the entire game. We want to put all the pressure on SGA and make him a passer. Dame can hide on Batum here. Ewing shuts the paint down. Off the bench we have 3 great defenders as well.

Offense:
Goodluck defending one of KD or Grant Hill. Batum can't defend them both, which means Chet will have to guard whoever Batum doesn't. Mis-match galore. We ride the mis-match most of the game. Peak Dame is also pretty much impossible to defend, meaning SGA is going to have to work hard on offense and defense. Patrick Ewing will get easy dump downs whenever Reed has to come double on those mis-matches when GH or KD is blowing by Chet/Batum.

Overall, he doesn't have an answer for both KD and GH and we feast on that.
Lillard, GH, KD and in their peaks. Ewing in his prime. Excellent role players everywhere.
We slow down SGA and keep Klay at bay.

Total: 87.4/88.0

My team is built around the inside-out combo of our two MVP-level players, SGA and Reed. Despite going twin towers with Reed and Chet, we still provide SGA with the spacing he's accustomed to, as Klay, Chet, Batum, and Hill are all good to great outside shooters, while Reed is proficient from midrange. Defensively, we have an elite big man combo surrounded by size, athleticism and IQ on the perimeter.

Matchup
- Defensive assignments are Klay-Dame, SGA-Hill, Batum-KD, Holmgren-Dort, Reed-Ewing. Chet is pretty mobile for his size and should be able to handle a standstill shooter like Dort. Between Klay, SGA, Batum, Payton, Hill, and Grant, we have a number of quality perimeter defenders to throw at Ness's stars.
- While Dort is great at putting off bigger wings with his physicality, I don't think he has the shiftiness to stay with SGA. Jrue Holiday who is basically the apex version of Dort has been routinely cooked by SGA over the last couple of years, and I foresee a similar result.

Good luck Ness.
