This is a non-draft game. Make a team based on the first eight letters in your screen name. Mine is LAIMBEER so my eight players' last names must begin with L, A, I, M, B, E, E, R. If you don't have enough letters, circle back and start again at the beginning. Ignore numbers and symbols. You may skip the letters Q, U, V, X Y, Z if they appear in your name.


1. All NBA/ABA seasons from 1959-60 to 2023-24 are eligible, subject to the restrictions outlined below.

2. You will be required to select a total of 8 players in 8 rounds. Each of your players must play a minimum of 8 minutes in your rotations. Any player chosen in a season that is pre-merger will have a multiplier of 0.85 applied against their actual fga, rounded to closest 0.1.

3. Your team will be allowed a combined total of 88.0 FGA with a minimum of 3.0 FGA per player corresponding with the specific seasons indicated for each player. NOTE: You may pick a player whose actual FGA number was lower than 3.0, but you still be charged 3.0 for that player.

4. Each player you select must have played at least 50% of regular season games in the season selected. He needs to play at least 50% of his games for an eligible franchise.

5.Accolade restrictions (any point in career) - (Includes ABA accolades)
You may downgrade a category.
One player MVP and/or multiple first team.
One player who was all-NBA but no more than one first team and no MVP.
Two all-stars who never made all-NBA or MVP
Four with none of the above accolades

Please complete your team by 11:00 pm Saturday, March 30.


Team Roster Page Rules:

You will be responsible for creating a roster page for your fantasy team. Here are the things that you will be required to include on your roster page:

. Players
. Rotations
. The most important of all, you must show the total FGA per player on your roster AND a total sum of each players FGA to display that it is under the required 88.0 FGA

-All of the above must be completed before playoffs/rankings

Just to clarify to avoid any confusion, I could select Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for A even though it's hyphenated? If not, I'll just take Lew Alcindor

What about Ron Artest/Metta World Peace? Possibly others? Probably best to just go off of their Basketball Reference Page, aka we'd use Metta World Peace and NOT Ron Artest. And in that case, do we go off of W or P? I'd argue W.

SGA would only be eligible for G, not A?

What about Nene? N or H?

Last question - do we consider ABA accolades at all with the restrictions? Or strictly NBA accolades?

These restrictions definitely make things challenging, even with the 60s to now time frame.

Yeah I meant it as a positive.

Just spent the better part of the past two hours to create what I posted. Best I could come up with. Might revisit before the deadline, but probably unlikely to change the actual players. If anything I might change some of the years a bit.

Went all-in on switchable rangy wings (plus arguably the GOAT switching big in Bam). Finding a second non All-NBA All-Star was such a pain that I just went only one. The best available options were Sheed and Wiggins, but I was then struggling to find another quality guard. I guess White is a similar level of player to those guys anyway.

Am I allowed to downgrade a category like 5th non allstar instead of all-star who never made All NBA?

Why U isn't excluded? I'll try it if and only if it is because it's the rational thing to do.

Technically you've got Unseld but no one will really want him as your only MVP.

I feel somewhat restricted. I don't have BAD letters per se, but I don't feel I've got a ton of flexibility.

Yeah but letters like V were excluded and they've got much more options like VanVleet or Varejao for starters. And if I don't like a team with Udoh as backup center? Or I'd like to build 8 deep? What I'm saying is U is as limiting as other letters removed if not more

I have 4 complete teams built and can't decide which one to go with.

I think it's time to re-evaluate my life.

We'll use the Basketball Reference list linked to determine the letter of the last name.

ABA restrictions count as well.

I agree. I will add 'U' to the exclusions.
