Madness Draft Discussion

Post#1 » by GeorgeMarcus » Tue Apr 1, 2025 11:53 pm

I will post an excel spread sheet in the Draft thread a little later unless somebody beats me to it (which I welcome :) )

Definitely a unique pool of players. Not the draft position I wanted but oh well.

I would have said yes earlier but I did some planning and think I like the direction

If you had 5 or 6 I'd make the swap but I don't love 3 or 4 in this draft either

I despise 4. That's why I offered.

I didn't like 3rd but I had pretty clear top two for my pick, after Magic and Hakeem who I knew for certain will be gone. Let's see how well I can build around SGA in this

I would have taken SGA 3rd as well FWIW

I thought he was a clear third actually.

I was hoping either for top 3 or near the bottom.

If I'd ranked the draft positions 4th would have been the one I wanted the least.

My second option was actually Davis

Didn’t feel like the right pool for AD.

Troubled by my options at C after both Horford and JJJ went there.

Yeah I passed on Barkley despite him being the BPA in a vacuum at 4 for exactly that reason.

EDIT: One spot too late to get SGA. One spot too early for Hill to fall to me in round 2.

Sometimes you just hit a bad spot in the draft. Shrug.

Yeah I think there was a clear top 3 and clear top 6, so I feel you on that
