Defensive matchups: Garland on KCP, Jub on Doncic, Wallace on Reaves, Giannis on Gordon, Porzingis on Davis

We have a solid fit around Giannis who is the best player in the series this year. We have 4 shooters around him while Porzingis, Williams and Wallace give us a solid defensive foundation, we have size in the paint against Davis and Williams has the size to match up with Doncic. One of Garland or Williams will have easier defensive matchup on them. When Gobert plays against Porzingis he will be stretched out. He has a good bench for this game but KCP was mediocre this year so the combination of him, Vincent and Caruso is hardly an overpowered bottom 3.

Write up:

GL Dr. P

Offense:
Luka and AD pick and roll with shooters everywhere. Would be impossible to defend in today NBA. Reaves, AG, KCP, Caruso, Vincent are all good shooters. Reaves in particular can score on his own and has shown all season he’s a great 2nd or 3rd option. My team has real chemistry. Gobert will also be a solid roll man with Luka for easy lobs. Options out of the initial pick and roll are limitless.

Defense:
AD sets the tone, KCP, Caruso, Gobert, AG and Gabe feed off of it. Luka will also defend the weakest perimeter player, not that he’s a bad defenders (see playoffs last year), but because I want him fresh for offense.

AD will stay on Giannis to keep him at bay (and in the paint). AG or Gobert will primarily defend KP. KCP on Garland. Luka on Wallace, Reaves on Williams.

I think overall our big 3 is better than Dr. P’s especially when you consider real life chemistry.

Everyone on earth knows Luka and AD would be unstoppable together. Man if only we could have traded LeBron instead of AD

My bench > his bench.

Once again, role players need real teams. KCP would absolutely thrive in this situation.
