Gregg Popovich Draft - Play in - Dr Positivity vs lilroddyb*

Here is a quick list of what you need in your writeup.

1. Specific years for each player on your team
2. Rotations and minutes for each player
3. Reasoning as to why your team will win and/or why people should vote for you.

Do not vote in this thread until both managers have submitted their writeups. Once the writeups are posted, I will add a poll, and the team with the most votes after 24 hours will advance. EACH MANAGER SHOULD ALSO VOTE FOR THEIR OWN TEAM IN THE POLL - IF YOU FAIL TO DO THIS, YOU ARE SIMPLY GIVING AWAY A VOTE. If the votes are tied, we will decide the matchup via AI vote.

You are not required to state or explain your vote, but you are free to comment in the thread if you want to.

If writeups aren't posted within 24 hours, we will vote solely based on the players they have drafted (and any rotations they have posted on their roster page).

PG: Gary Payton (1999: 18.5 FGA) - 1999
SG: Manu Ginobili (2005: 10.5 FGA) - Spurs
SF: Jalen Williams (2025: 16.9 FGA) - one team
PF: Kevin Durant (2022: 20.3 FGA) - Nets
C: Ben Wallace (2003: 6.0 FGA) - Pistons

PG: Pablo Prigioni (2014: 2.9 FGA = 3.0) - Knicks
SF: Kyle Korver (2018: 6.6 FGA) - Cavaliers
C: Bam Adebayo (2019: 5.9 FGA) - Heat

87.7 / 88

PG: Gary Payton (32) / Pablo Prigoni (14)
SG: Manu Ginobili (34) / Gary Payton (8) / Kyle Korver (6)
SF: Jalen Williams (28) / Kyle Korver (20)
PF: Kevin Durant (38) / Jalen Williams (10)
C: Ben Wallace (38) / Bam Adebayo (10)

Defensive matchups: Payton on Wade, Manu on Prince, Williams on Miller, Durant on Mobley, Wallace on Embiid

- We have well rounded starting 5 of all-stars, there will more pressure taking off Williams as he's a 4th option here, still a lot better than Prince.

- Excellent defensive matchups. Wallace should do great on Embiid and we have an answer for his Wade at PG lineup. Making Mobley guard 3pt line makes his D a bit less imposing.

- We have slight bench edge with 2nd year Bam as an advantage over 4 on 5 Collins minutes being more meaningful than Prigs and Korver vs old Horry and Ward.

C: Joel Embiid 38 min / Jason Collins 10 min
Pf: Evan Mobley 36 min / Robert Horry 12 min
Sf: Tayshaun Prince 38 min / Robert Horry 10 min
Sg: Reggie Miller 38 mi / Charlie Ward 10 min
Pg: Dwyane Wade 38 min / Charlie Ward 10 min

2006 Dwyane Wade 18.8
1999 Reggie Miller 13.4
2025 Evan Mobley 12.8
2021 Joel Embiid 17.6
2004 Tayshaun Prince 8.8
2000 Charlie Ward 6.2
2005 Robert Horry 5
2004 Jason Collins 4.9

Tfga: 87.5

Gl Dr P

Offense

The offense is really versatile. we have a three headed monster in Wade at his athletic peak that can get anywhere on the court and with Reggie Miller spacing the floor and close to peak embiid that shot 37.7 from three. The guys around them are good threepoint shooters outside of Jason Collins

Defense

Everyone is a great defender outside to Reggie Miller but I think he is just average.

defensive matchup

Joel Embiid on Ben Wallace and since Wallace can't shot Joel can camp underneath the basket.
Mobley on KD
Prince on jaylen williams
Miller on Manu
Wade on Payton

overall

Dr P build a good team with good fit I just think my main stars are a bit better overall with Peak Wade and EMbiid and still really good Reggie Miller being better than older version of Kd and friends.

and I think My team will have easier time scoring with better spacing overall since Ben Wallace is a non shooter and Payton shot under30% from three
that season while all my guys are fine threepoint shooters outside of Wade and 8 minutes a game Collins
