Here is a quick list of what you need in your writeup.

1. Specific years for each player on your team
2. Rotations and minutes for each player
3. Reasoning as to why your team will win and/or why people should vote for you.

Do not vote in this thread until both managers have submitted their writeups. Once the writeups are posted, I will add a poll, and the team with the most votes after 24 hours will advance. EACH MANAGER SHOULD ALSO VOTE FOR THEIR OWN TEAM IN THE POLL - IF YOU FAIL TO DO THIS, YOU ARE SIMPLY GIVING AWAY A VOTE. If the votes are tied, we will decide the matchup via AI vote.

You are not required to state or explain your vote, but you are free to comment in the thread if you want to.

If writeups aren't posted within 24 hours, we will vote solely based on the players they have drafted (and any rotations they have posted on their roster page).

70 Walt Frazier - 12.8
94 Reggie Miller - 13.2
04 Andrei Kirilenko - 11.9
73 Rick Barry - 17
67 Nate Thurmand - 14
94 Nate McMillan - 5.4
98 Chris Mullin - 8.4
13 Nick Collison - 3.7

Walt Frazier (40) / Nate McMillan (8)
Reggie Miller (38) / Nate McMillan (10)
Rick Barry (40) / Chris Mullin (8)
Andrei Kirilenko (40) / Nick Collison (8)
Nate Thurmand (40) / Nick Collison (8)

We've got shooting, scoring and playmaking. Perimeter defense, post-defense and rebounding. Frazer wins his matchup with Haliburton. Miller gets the edge over Allen. Barry wins his matchup with Williams. AK47 contains post-peak Garnett. Thurmand gets the edge over Sikma. Our bench holds its own.

Starting Lineup
79 Jack Sikma ~ 12.6 FGA ~ NBA Champion, All-Star, MVP-7
08 Kevin Garnett ~ 13.9 FGA ~ NBA Champion, DPOY, NBA1, MVP-3
25 Jalen Williams ~ 16.9 FGA ~ NBA3, DEF2
01 Ray Allen ~ 16.0 FGA ~ NBA3, MVP-11
25 Tyrese Haliburton ~ 13.8 FGA ~ Most Overrated :P

Bench
98 Buck Williams ~ 3.6 FGA
15 Andre Iguodala ~ 6.4 FGA ~ Finals MVP
13 Patrick Beverley ~ 4.6 FGA

88/88 FGA

Rotation
Sikma (36) /KG (12)
KG (24) / Buck (16) / Iggy (8)
J Dub (28) / Iggy (20)
Ray (36) / J Dub (8) / Bev (4)
Hali (36) / Bev (12)

Write-Up
Primary Def Assignments:
Hali --> Frazier
Ray --> Reggie
J Dubs --> Barry
KG --> AK
Sikma --> Thurmond

We have major defensive weapons off the bench to fill in gaps throughout the game. We also benefit from KG's ability to sag off AK a bit and lean more heavily on the passing lanes/rim protection.

Our offense is designed to maximize the 'everybody eats' philosophy with tons of high IQ ball movement to create mismatches.

GL hoopsfan and great building! I had my eye on Barry- that was a great value pick for you.

I will counter with this though: I don't consider Reggie > Ray; if anything I give the edge to Ray who was more athletic and able to do more with the ball in his hands. I'm also iffy about Thurmond > Sikma... Both were All Stars with some MVP attention but Sikma's game is a little better suited to the modern landscape. Ultimately my biggest advantage is a roaming Garnett on defense, and we also benefit from the best bench player in Finals MVP Iggy.

Reggie is not better than Ray. He’s generally preferred in these games because their impact is comparable and Reggie is nearly 3 FGA cheaper.

Close matchup, I sided with GM for having more frontcourt offense, and I believe a marginal Barry downgrade on hoopsfan.
