Playoff Upsets Draft - Playin - Mr Ringer vs GeorgeMarcus*

Here is a quick list of what you need in your writeup.

1. Specific years for each player on your team
2. Rotations and minutes for each player
3. Reasoning as to why your team will win and/or why people should vote for you.

Do not vote in this thread until both managers have submitted their writeups. Once the writeups are posted, I will add a poll, and the team with the most votes after 24 hours will advance. EACH MANAGER SHOULD ALSO VOTE FOR THEIR OWN TEAM IN THE POLL - IF YOU FAIL TO DO THIS, YOU ARE SIMPLY GIVING AWAY A VOTE. If the votes are tied, we will decide the matchup via AI vote.

You are not required to state or explain your vote, but you are free to comment in the thread if you want to.

If writeups aren't posted within 24 hours, we will vote solely based on the players they have drafted (and any rotations they have posted on their roster page).

Starting Lineup
21 Joel Embiid ~ 17.6 FGA ~ NBA2, DEF2, MVP-2, DPOY-7
22 Draymond Green ~ 5.6 FGA ~ AS, DEF2, DPOY-10
04 Michael Redd ~ 17.5 FGA ~ NBA3, MVP-14
23 Alex Caruso ~ 4.3 FGA ~ DEF1, DPOY-11
21 Luka Doncic ~ 20.5 FGA ~ NBA1, MVP-6

Bench
19 Derrick Jones Jr ~ 5.4 FGA
97 Chris Mullin ~ 10.0 FGA ~ League Leader in eFG%
10 Jason Kidd ~ 8.4 FGA ~ AS

87.9/88 FGA

Rotation
Embiid (38) / Draymond (10)
Draymond (28) / DJJ (10) / Mullin (10)
Redd (33) / Mullin (15)
Caruso (25) / Kidd (23)
Luka (38) / Kidd (10)

Write-up
Primary Defensive Assignments:
Embiid --> D Rob
Draymond/DJJ --> KD
Luka/Mullin --> Battier
Redd/Kidd --> Herro
Caruso/Kidd --> Billups

Luka/Embiid will lead the charge in the scoring department with Redd/Mullin as strong secondary options (not to mention elite floor spacers). Bringing veteran AS Kidd off the bench ensures a constant dose of intelligent playmaking, and at this point in his career he had also become a reliable off ball factor with a greatly improved 3pt shot. Our depth as a whole is a major strength for us. While the Admiral is a strong defensive counter to Embiid, Joel's style is somewhat reminiscent of Olajuwon as a skilled big who can operate away from the basket. This should minimize D Rob's otherwise godly defensive impact/off ball rim protection.

Good luck Mr. Ringer and nice team building!

Chauncey Billups 09' - 12.4
Tyler Herro 20' - 11.5
Shane Battier 06' - 7.7
Kevin Durant 12' - 19.7
David Robinson 95' - 18.4

Tyus Jones 22' - 7.6
Bruce Bowen 03' - 5.8
Isiah Hartenstein 24' - 4.9

88/88

Rotation:
PG: Billups 35\Jones 13
SG: Herro 34\Jones 7\Bowen 7
SF: Battier 28\Bowen 13\Durant 7
PF: Durant 30\ Hartenstein 18
C: Robinson 38\ Hartenstein 10

Defensive assignments:
Chauncey on Luka, Herro on Caruso, Battier on Redd, KD on Dray, Robinson on Embiid.

Defensively, with great defenders all over the place, led by Battier and The Admiral, with KD and Billups also very good on that aspect, I can stop almost all of George's team, considering both Caruso and Dray are fairly limited on the offensive end, which allows my players to Compliment each other on defense (Herro and KD helps on Luka for example)
I really like the offensive 1-2 punch of Luka and Joel but I think with such defensive forces I have the powers to stop it.

Offensively I have the most versatile, unstoppable, offensive force in KD, and while Draymond obviously being a great defender KD is still a 30-point maniac on a nightly basis.
Robinson in his prime is a beast in the paint that Embiid, with all due respect, won't be able to contain.
Chauncey is a top playmaker who fits them both perfectly and with an army of spot-up shooters no guy can be left alone and my team remains a complete threat against every challenge.

Lastly, I managed to built a strong bench to finish it off, with Tyus Jones (a big off-season and money-time upgrade) being able to lead the offense on Chauncey limited rest. Bruce Bowen, who's a top-3 wing defenders in the league, a permanent DPOY contender, and a 44% 3p shooter (league-best), and a champ. (really floundered whether he should start at my 3). And Hartenstein, who diverse my game with a center who can pass and playmake, space the game and versatile my offense even more on his minutes on the court.

Loved GeorgeMarcus' team, but I believe that 8 guys at their peak should make this mission possible

Good luck, George
