Here is a quick list of what you need in your writeup.

1. Specific years for each player on your team
2. Rotations and minutes for each player
3. Reasoning as to why your team will win and/or why people should vote for you.

Do not vote in this thread until both managers have submitted their writeups. Once the writeups are posted, I will add a poll, and the team with the most votes after 24 hours will advance. EACH MANAGER SHOULD ALSO VOTE FOR THEIR OWN TEAM IN THE POLL - IF YOU FAIL TO DO THIS, YOU ARE SIMPLY GIVING AWAY A VOTE. If the votes are tied, we will decide the matchup via AI vote.

You are not required to state or explain your vote, but you are free to comment in the thread if you want to.

If writeups aren't posted within 24 hours, we will vote solely based on the players they have drafted (and any rotations they have posted on their roster page).

PG: Chris Paul 20' - 12.7
SG: Mitch Richmond 96' - 16.9
SF: James Posey 04' - 9.4
PF: Kevin Durant 13' - 17.7
C: Marc Gasol 13' - 10.9

Bench: James Harden 12' - 10.1
Bench: Robert Horry 05' - 5.0
Bench: Boris Diaw 13' - 4.4

87.1/88

Rotation:
PG: Chris Paul 38 / James Harden 10
SG: Mitch Richmond 32 / James Harden 16
SF: James Posey 30 / Robert Horry 16 / Mitch Richmond 2
PF: Kevin Durant 38 / Boris Diaw 8 / Robert Horry 2
C: Marc Gasol 38 / Boris Diaw 10

vs

PG: Terry Porter (36) / Alex Caruso (12)
SG: Clyde Drexler (32) / Jeff Hornacek (8) / Alex Caruso (8)
SF: Bruce Bowen (26) / Jeff Hornacek (16) / Clyde Drexler (6)
PF: Karl Malone (38) / Chet Holmgren (6) / Bruce Bowen (4)
C: Rudy Gobert (34) / Chet Holmgren (14)

Matchup:
- Defensive assignments: Paul vs Porter, Posey vs Drexler, Richmond vs Bowen, Durant vs Gobert, Gasol vs Malone.
- We match up well here. Gobert can be covered by either Durant or Gasol, and Gasol should be highly effective in this matchup. On the other hand, he doesn't really have a good option to throw at Durant, with Malone lacking the perimeter versatility and Bowen lacking size.
- Gobert-Malone are non ideal fit especially besides Drexler, whereas we feature a team of 8 spacers. Paul-Durant two man game will be deadly, flanked by Richmond and Gasol as very capable third-fourth options, and Harden as 6MOY contributor. Our ball movement in particular is superior with Paul, Gasol, Harden, Diaw as elite passers.
- He has a nice bench, but features two low threats in the starting lineup (Bowen, Gobert), while Posey is much more capable than Bowen as an offensive threat, as well as Gasol vs Gobert. We still have one of the best benches in the game, with Harden as possibly the best bench player in the matchup, and two very high level contributors in Horry and Diaw who are more comparable to Bowen/Gobert/Caruso offensively.

PG: Terry Porter (1991: 11.7 FGA)
SG: Clyde Drexler (1991: 16.3 FGA)
SF: Bruce Bowen (2003: 5.8 FGA)
PF: Karl Malone (1998: 18.2 FGA)
C: Rudy Gobert (2022: 7.7 FGA)

PG: Alex Caruso (2025: 5.8 FGA)
SF: Jeff Hornacek (1996: 10.7 FGA)
PF/C: Chet Holmgren (2024: 11.6 FGA)

87.8 / 88

PG: Terry Porter (36) / Alex Caruso (12)
SG: Clyde Drexler (32) / Jeff Hornacek (8) / Alex Caruso (8)
SF: Bruce Bowen (28) / Jeff Hornacek (14) / Clyde Drexler (6)
PF: Karl Malone (38) / Chet Holmgren (6) / Bruce Bowen (4)
C: Rudy Gobert (32) / Chet Holmgren (16)

Defensive matchups: Porter on Paul, Drexler on Richmond, Bowen on Durant, Malone on Posey, Gobert on Gasol

We have a solid top 2 in Drexler and Malone, Drexler succeeded with star big man offense with Hakeem so he should be able to with Malone. Drexler has his normal PG in Porter and Malone usually played with worse versions of Gobert.

I don't have much problems with durantbird's team, but this is a poor matchup for him as I don't love 13 Durant playing PF generally but I definitely don't love it playing against Malone. He takes a beating in the post and on the glass which also affects his offense. In addition, Bowen is my all time ideal defender for Durant.

Our bench is our calling card blowing past even his very good one, young Harden is not miles better young Okc than rookie Holmgren and then Caruso and Hornacek is significant advantage over old Horry and Diaw. The Chet minutes beside Malone will be difficult X factor to handle with the matchup for the latter already not being ideal, and Caruso will give Paul some problems. Hornacek worked well in Malone offense.

Definitely one of my best benches, I usually don't get Caruso since someone jumps on him early, but was lucky to get him in mid Rd 6.

I think it's the first time he's drafted under his OKC eligibility. Prior drafts where OKC were available, probably Bulls or Lakers were available too. Though 25' has a case for his best season so far, especially given playoffs
