I'd modify the third one to ban only player seasons from those franchises.

Once you take out anyone who ever played for them, the top-end talent gets extremely thin.

That might also work.

We've done a 2020s draft pretty recently, or something close enough to it. I don't think there's enough novelty to that pool for it to be fun like 00s or 10s were. That's probably the "safe" option though.

I've slightly soured on the "only players from these franchises can be chosen" thing. Not that I'd never do them again, but I'd like to wait a bit before going back to that well.

I'd do the Carmelo one or the Carmelo/Dwight one.

An interesting twist for the Carmelo draft might be him costing zero fgas or maybe some low number like ten. How high might he go in such a scenario? It's also a way to ensure he gets drafted in his own draft haha
