Here is a quick list of what you need in your writeup.

1. Specific years for each player on your team
2. Rotations and minutes for each player
3. Reasoning as to why your team will win and/or why people should vote for you.

Do not vote in this thread until both managers have submitted their writeups. Once the writeups are posted, I will add a poll, and the team with the most votes after 24 hours will advance. EACH MANAGER SHOULD ALSO VOTE FOR THEIR OWN TEAM IN THE POLL - IF YOU FAIL TO DO THIS, YOU ARE SIMPLY GIVING AWAY A VOTE. If the votes are tied, we will decide the matchup via AI vote.

You are not required to state or explain your vote, but you are free to comment in the thread if you want to.

If writeups aren't posted within 24 hours, we will vote solely based on the players they have drafted (and any rotations they have posted on their roster page).

04’-05’ Reggie Evans 3.5 FGA 9 RPG | Hustle

Write up:

GL Laimbeer, IMO these are the 2 best teams!

Kobe on Posey so he’s fresh for offense 100% of the time

Bowen will chase Reggie and take him out of the game

Billups on GP3 - good match up here

Durant on 36 year old Karl Malone, obviously a huge mis match each way for both teams

Deke on Alonzo

First thing, I don’t see a pick and role partner for old man Malone.

I think this team struggles to score, especially against a defense like mine

Spacing for Laimbeer is pretty bad especially with Bowen face guarding Reggie.

We plan to get Karl Malone could trouble asap, as he cannot guard KD.

Kobe should have his way this series.

Kobe and KD pick and roles will be tough to defend

Our bench is significantly better than Laimbeers bench

Our spacing is Elite with Billups, Kobe, Bowen, KD, SJax

KD scored 25 a game. He’s going to blow right by old man Malone.

Vote NESS

Gary Payton (38) / JJ Redick (10)

Good luck, Ness. I agree we have the two best teams. Maybe I'm biased lol.

On offense we have an elite point guard in Payton with the perimeter gravity of Miller and Posey and the bruising interior of Mourning and Malone. Payton is an excellent P&R handler so yes Malone does have a partner. This version of Durant trying to guard Karl Malone (4th in MVP) will be...ugly...

It's important to note how incomplete Durant was as a player at this point. He wasn't an all-star. Comparing his MVP season to this one - W/S 19.2 v 7.9; BPM 10.2 v 3.3; VORP 9.6 v. 3.8. Huge differences.

Zo/Deke, Malone/Bowen, Posey/Durant, Miller/Billups and Payton/Kobe is pretty solid. Posey was solid on LeBron so should be credible against this version of KD The Payton/Kobe POA matchup is particularly important since their offense seems to be quite dependent on Kobe and Payton was one of his toughest defenders. . Deke and particularly Durant will struggle with the physicality of Zo and Karl.

With this version of KD we have a distinct talent advantage, imo.

He has a much better bench but I'm pretty low on this version of Durant so it's been harder for me to vote for MadNESS team overall, while Laimbeer always had most stacked starting lineup in this one.
