Here is a quick list of what you need in your writeup.

1. Specific years for each player on your team
2. Rotations and minutes for each player
3. Reasoning as to why your team will win and/or why people should vote for you.

Do not vote in this thread until both managers have submitted their writeups. Once the writeups are posted, you may post a vote by commenting to this post (notice we will not be using a poll) - all participants of the draft are invited and encouraged to post a vote, so as other regular participants of the games in the forum. You are not required to explain your vote, but you are welcome to do so if you want.

First to 3 votes wins the championship. There is no AI vote with the host playing.

If writeups aren't posted within 24 hours, we will vote solely based on the players they have drafted (and any rotations they have posted on their roster page).

C: Luke Kornet (2023-24) 3.2
5.3ppg, 4.1rp, 1.1apg, 0.5spg, 1.1bpg

PG: White (38) / Wallace (10)
SG: Thompson (38) / Wallace (10)
SF: Williams (38) / Iguodala (10)
PF: Siakam (38) / Iguodala (10)
C: Jokic (38) / Kornet (10)

88/88

Defense matchups
White on Paul - Elite POA defender and help defender will really make this older version of Paul have to really work hard
Thompson on KCP - Great matchup for me here as KCP is really just a spot up shooter who resets , and Klay is an excellent wing defender who knows exactly how to defend that style of player
JDub on Brown - Elite defender here again, JDub is about as perfect a brown defender as there is. He can stay in front of him and force brown to handle the ball, which as a Boston fan, I can assure you will result in tunnel vision, and losing the dribble.
Siakam on Lebron - Older Lebron and Siakam is about as good a defender as one can have for LBJ. Long, athletic and strong. Can keep in front of Lebron
Jokic on Kat. Jokic isnt a terrible defender and will at least make KAT work

My bench doesnt miss a beat.

Offensively we will use Jokic to his full abilities. I have a lead guard who will pair brilliantly with Joker in WHite. Can go to rim or stay back and shoot. I also have an ELITE shooter off relocations for Jokic in Thompson, Williams give me rim pressure and 2pt shooting, Siakam give the same with some playmaking tossed in.

Basically Jokic will get the ball early up top from 2 man games with White, Klay and Williams will run cuts and relocations, Siakam will set lots of screens and dive to te rim afterwards. Kat and Lebron and Paul will be forced to defend non stop and I think that benefits me in the long run.

I think I have built an ideal Jokic led team with lots of secondary playmaking (White, JDub, Siakam) Elite shooting and relocations (Klay, White, JDub) Elite rim pressure (JDub, Siakam, Iggy) and an awesome bench full of key roleplayers that fit on court needs. (POA Defense and 3pt shooting in Wallace, Playmaking and rim pressure in Iggy, Rebounding and shotblocking in Robinson)

PG - Chris Paul (2021 - 12.6 FGA)
SG - Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (2020 - 7.3 FGA)
SF - Jaylen Brown (2024 - 17.9 FGA)
PF - Lebron James (2020 - 19.4 FGA)
C - Karl-Anthony Towns (2026 - 13.8 FGA)

PG/SG - Alex Caruso (2025 - 5.8 FGA)
SF - Otto Porter, Jr. (2022 - 6.6 FGA)
C - Mitchell Robinson (2026 - 3.4 FGA)

86.8 / 88

PG - Chris Paul (36) / Alex Caruso (12)
SG - Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (32) / Alex Caruso (16)
SF - Jaylen Brown (38) / Otto Porter (10)
PF - Lebron James (36) / Otto Porter (10) / Karl-Anthony Towns (2)
C - Karl-Anthony Towns (36) / Mitchell Robinson (12)

Defensive matchups - Towns on Jokic, Lebron on Siakam, Brown on JDub, KCP on Klay, Paul on White

- While Jokic will have a good series, Towns showed he could bang this year and also causes some trouble for Jokic stretching him out. Also note that Paul in 21 was a bad matchup for Jokic as his PNR game can score on him. Lebron should do well vs Siakam.

- A 5 out offense with Lebron and KAT should be pretty deadly. We have multiple creators led by Lebron and Paul, whereas his team relies a lot on Jokic. Our high quality wing D can switch onto players like White, Klay, JDub and Siakam.

- We have bench advantage with peak Caruso vs 2019 Iguodala, Porter and Cason are both solid role players and MitchRob outplayed Kornet this year while this is a few years ago version of him.

Overall both teams are solid on D but I'll take our offensive talent and our bench over his.

Even with Towns' improvement on the defensive end, I'm not sure I trust him enough as Jokic's main defender without Gobert behind him. He did a good job on Wemby, but Jokic is still a step or two above offensively.
