With the final stretch run of the off-season approaching, it is only fitting that a trade tourney is stuiable. I will think of the scenarios and will help judge the competition. I am looking to make a large tourney here with 16 players involved. I will make one scenario each round with the top half of players advancing to the next round.

Please reply if you would like to be a contestant or a judge. Please only respond if you are a quick replier since we will try to speed up the tourney. Each deadline will be 2 days after the scenario, so only join if you can reply quickly. A preliminary round will be set up if more than 16 players want to join the competition. I keep changing the title of the posting to update the action.

Let's make this one crazy tourney.

i'll participate if you change the one scenario for all thing. with so many people its gonna be hard for people to rank 16 scenarios, especially when they are going to be so similar. its going to turn into a "who posted it" first contest.

That whole one scenario thing makes for boring tournaments IMO.

As an impartial observer, I would recommend trying to put some kind of twist on this that makes it different than other past tournaments.

Just my 2 cents.

giving people seeds, thats a good twist. you can go through with your one scenario for 16 people, then have judges rank them. after that, make a bracket! 1st vs. 16th, 2nd vs. 15th, etc.

Oooo. Somehting just came to me. What if you divided the 16 people into two divisions. East and West.

And each poster in the division can only make trades within their confrence.

So if I was competing and was in the East, I could only use Eastern Confrence teams in my trade?

I do like the idea. We will seed the players after the preliminary rounds and then work the tournament out NCAA style. I will create one scenario for each matchup.

We still need some more participants before we get started. bness888, you can be in as a participant.

Vinatage, that is a nice idea and a good twist for this competition. To make it more realisitc though I'd make it 2 conferences, but an East participant can make trades with both conferences (since that is realistic), but if you are in the Eastern conference, all scenarios will involve an NBA Eastern team.

So far we have 6 participants and 3 judges. Please respond ASAP if you are interested in participating or judging. I am looking to have around 5 judges and 16 participants for this competition.
