GM a Team: 2nd round - Lakers on the clock

Post#1 » by skorff26 » Sat Feb 7, 2009 2:16 am

I want to keep this moving, and I don't know how active DCash is going to be. Any suggestions on when we should start the 2nd round, and any suggestions on the time between picks.

All times are eastern, I switched it to 4 hour intervals as DCash suggested;

31. Los Angeles Lakers - Damion James
32. Washington Wizards - Terrence Williams
33. Dallas Mavericks - Omri Casspi
34. Oklahoma City Thunder - Austin Daye
35.Washington Wizards - DeJuan Blair
36.Oklahoma City Thunder - Kyle Singler
37.Sacramento Kings - Gani Lawal
38.Houston Rockets - Michael Washington
39.San Antonio Spurs - Tyler Hansbrough
40.Washington Wizards - Jerome Jordan
41.Detroit Pistons - Sergio Llull
42. Los Angeles Clippers - Taj Gibson
43.New York Knicks - AJ Price
44.Washington Wizards - Victor Claver
45.Cleveland Cavaliers - Jerel McNeal
45.Washington Wizards - Nick Calathes
46.Orlando Magic - Lester Hudson
47.Miami Heat - Jeff Pendergraph
48.Washington Wizards - Ed Davis
49.Philadelphia 76ers - Craig Brackins
50.Charlotte Bobcats - James Johnson
51.Charlotte Bobcats - Dionte Christmas
52.Washington Wizards - Scott Hopson
53.Portland Trailblazers - Josh Heytvelt
54.Oklahoma City Thunder - Tony Woods
55.Washington Wizards - Devin Ebanks
56.Boston Celtics - Jermaine Taylor
57.Portland TrailBlazers - Lorenzo Wade
58.Washington Wizards - Michael Dunigan
59.Los Angeles Lakers - Dominic James
60.Charlotte Bobcats - Tyler Smith

Let's start it tomorrow at 9 am (to 3pm) and then just keep the same schedule as the first round (actually, we could probably have less time between picks, but i don't care)

Well I can't really be on at 4 AM to Pick....Don't think that time interval is fair if the others don't make the pick in time. I will be asleep during 12-4 AM. Who do I send a list to?

u can still send the list to me (or anyone else u feel comfortable with). just make sure u post on here that u have indeed sent a list in. 12 to 4 is barely 9pm for me, so i should have time to get your pick in.

I'll go with who I think is the BPA here in Damion James. He's available for trade (in conjunction with my other 2nd rounder) and I'm looking for some more proven talent in return.

The Oklahoma City Thunder select Austin Daye from Gonzaga. We love his upside and his wing span and his range. He could very well be the next Rashard Lewis

The Oklahoma City Thunder select Kyle Singler from Duke University. The more scorers we have the better.

Sacramento is utterly shocked that lottery talent Gani Lawal has not yet been drafted. Gani, a sophmore 6'9 PF from Georgia Tech, is currently averaged 16/10/1.5 this season and is currently 9th overall in rebounding totals. Sacramento welcomes him.

I do not own my second, Houston had it at the begining of the game, however, if you want to give it to me I can certainly make a pick :) (Tyler Hansbrough).

Sorry that was one of the picks that I couldn't find, and RealGM didn't have it under Memphis's draft pick debits and you hadn't traded it so I thought you had it; but I looked it up and you are right. Sorry my fault; and I guess it is Houston's pick.
Sorry Memphis

I just looked it up on the nbadraft.net page, and I know that at the beginning of the game it said Houston owned it, but now it shows Memphis owning it.....so I don't really know now if I am right or wrong on this.

Actually I just looked this up, Memphis reacquired the pick when they traded for Steve Francis, so on all of the draft sites it shows Memphis owning it (hence the confusion) http://www.nba.com/grizzlies/news/memph ... 81224.html

Alright, so the Rockets own the pick. But he's past the time limit so let's make it the time for both him and the next pick.

Yeah and the next pick is san antonio anyway and they are one of the teams that we use draftexpress.com for. So, Houston can have their time since it just got posted that he needs to make a pick.
