Question if we are all keeping are teams, who are we drafting? What is the draft pool? And do I pick 2nd?

You would pick 2nd.

ALL players are in the draft pool. You keep the players that are left from your original roster once the draft ends. After 3 players have been drafted from your team or the 3rd round ends(whichever comes 1st) you will be able to make 1 remaining player 'off-limits'.

I could take LeBron and then lose him so...

CP3/Durant/D Will/B Roy may be better choices considering salary implications and 2010 FA...

Im not playing, but I think first come first serve for draft order is an unfair way to start off the game.

I'd prefer to keep rosters as they are or simply have a mass fantasy draft for 30 teams for 15 rounds.

I wanted to try something a bit different and 15 rounds of drafting for 30 teams would be a giant pain in the ass.

as for VintaGe36's concern...

I made a trade off for team's picking lower by letting them protect one more player than the 1st 20 teams. I MAY change things up a bit though if it is really needed.

Can we at least randomize the draft order?

So teams from 21-30 get to protect the Delonte West and Trevor Ariza's of the world? I'm not going to gripe about your game, because it's not my business, I just think you skew the advantage far too much to the players who sign up first.

I wanted to give a little bit to the team's that sign up 1st since they will have to wait out others straggling along.

How's about a randomized draft where the 1st 5 teams get 4 lotto balls, the next 5 get 3, the next 10 get 2, the last 10 get 1?

The last 10 teams in the draft order will still get to protect 1 extra player though.

Yeah I agree, the first come first serve approach is just awful.

How about a game with NO ALL STARS! Let's see who can build a solid TEAM with out that go to guy...

lol just a thought.

I think the "No All star" game has potential. You could remove one player from every team from the game, and just draft like a regular game. See who can build the best team without a Tim Duncan, Lebron or Dwight.

I was thinking about the format of this, and it is pretty unfair. Combined with the amount of time it will take I will have to withdraw my name, I won't be participating. Sorry about that,
