ON BEHALF OF CLIPPERS:

Clippers renounce the bird and rights to Jerome James, Etan Thomas and Tony Allen

Clippers pick up the team option for Anthony Randolph's 4th year, James Harden's 3rd year, Jeff Teague's 3rd year.

Utah picks up the team options for Barea and Landry. We like that they add quality depth to our already stacked team. :D

Minnesota has declined making a QO to both JJ Reddick and Adam Morrison, making both players unrestricted free agents

Minnesota has made QO's to both Rudy Gay and Randy Foye. Both players are big part of our plans and keys to our bright future.

We're using 57.3 million for the cap; I had set it at the beginning of the game and it won't be changed even if it's supposed to be lower.

Hey guys,

When calculating your cap space, there are certain things you have to add into your team salary.

This is what included in team salary:

http://members.cox.net/lmcoon/salarycap.htm#Q14

Notables that you wouldn't think of including:

- CAP HOLDS for all FAs that you didn't renounce
- Your 1st round picks' salaries (CAN be the actual "scale" amount, not 120% - http://www.hoopsworld.com/Story.asp?story_id=9302 has the 2010-11 rookie scale)
- The Rookie minimum salary ($473,604) for each available roster spot until you hit 12. (e.g. if you have 10 roster spots filled, then you have to add in $947,208 to your team salary)

Here you can find how to calculate the cap holds for your FAs:

http://members.cox.net/lmcoon/salarycap.htm#Q30 (Average salary = MLE of 2009-10 ($5,848,000) )

So for instance, the T-Wolves do not actually have $17,698,823 in cap space, as the cap hold for Foye and Gay is NOT the QO - it would actually be 300% of their salaries from 2009-10.

So, I will just do the T-Wolves as an example:

Players on roster = 8. Total salaries = $28,666,422
RFAs = 2. Total cap hold = $20,570,274
1st round picks = 2. Total cap hold = $2,822,000

So total = 12. Total team salary = $52,058,696

So, he actually has $5,241,304 in cap space. (Skorff, can you update this please?)

So hopefully this helps with calculating your cap space!

From Larry Coon's site...

http://members.cox.net/lmcoon/salarycap.htm#Q14

A roster charge if the team has fewer than 12 players (players under contract, free agents included in team salary, players given offer sheets, and first round draft picks). The roster charge is equal to the rookie minimum salary for each player below 12. The roster charge only applies during the offseason.
