Re: All Time Draft - Round 10 (MJallday59 on the clock)
With our own selection in the 10th round of the 2009 All-Time Draft, the Houston Rockets are pleased to select. . .

Dan Roundfield!!
Blue collar, hard working, doesn't take **** from no one type of PF. Roundfield is often one of the most oft-forgotten power forwards of his decade, he was a scorer from mid-range that shot the ball at good efficiency, but most notably known for his defensive prowess, having been named to the All-NBA Defensive team five times in his career, three times being on the first team. He was an unselfish player that did whatever it took to win, whether it'd be hitting the crucial mid-range jumper, or getting the big defensive stop. To be honest, we were going to go elsewhere with this pick, but at this point with rotations set, and versatility/options are looked at we couldn't pass on a player that brings elite defense and rebounding while being a threat to score 18+ every game offensively.

Gus Johnson

Johnson was an outstanding defender and athlete, which, combined with his amazing strength, allowed him to play both forward and center. He will fit in perfectly off the bench.
1968-69, 1969-70, 1970-71
2 Second Team All-NBA
2 First Team All-Defense
3 Year Regular Season Averages: 17.8 PPG, 14.4 RPG

K.C. Jones

Jones was a very smart player who was not only an outstanding defender and floor general, but also willing to come off the bench.

I will select Jerry Stackhouse, who in his early days was a very verstalile player, and was a great team player, and feel he would fit great on our bench.

Re: All Time Draft - Round 10 (bringbackhoffa on the clock)
There's plenty of talent left at this point, but I'm in need of a back up center, and I'll take the only remaining DPOY left, Marcus Camby.

He holds a very specific role on my squad. His playing time will depend on match ups and foul trouble, but I love his rebounding and help defense, as well as his ability to can the mid range jumper.

Re: All Time Draft - Round 10 (Gremz on the clock)
Selecting for Gremz (sorry for wait, things came up), they select. .

Amare Stoudemire!
Gremz asked for an athletic big man, there are not many left on the board that were as athletic or explosive as Amare, he's an awesome finisher in transition or the pick and roll (great fit with Price, or Cousy). He's tremendously improved his mid-range jumpshot to the point it's very reliable. Defensively with space, he's proven he can be a major shot-blocker, averaged over 2 per game in one of the chosen seasons. Some bash his rebounding, but he's still roughly around 9 per game, and with Wilt, Rodman, and DeBusschere, rebounding isn't a concern anyway.

Re: All Time Draft - Round 10 (Gremz on the clock)
Alright, Team Snakebites has decided to add a pair of solid defensive stoppers to their bench. We present Caldwell Jones, who made two consecutive all defensive first teams in the early 80's.
He brings size and power to the 4 for our team, and adds some further balance.

Alright, to add a defensive stopper to the backcourt, Team Snakebites is proud and quite surprised to select the recently departed and sorely missed Norm Van Lier.
He brings defense and intensity to the bench for Team Snakebites, and could see serious minutes depending on situations. Thrilled to have him. He made 3 All NBA first defensive teams and 5 all defensive second teams. From that perspective he's a steal.

We feel these guys bolster our bench defense and provide a great pair of situational guys.

The Titans select SF Josh Smith. An extremely impressive finisher, a very good mid-range shooter and an amazing defender known famously as Block Party.
