Some interesting 10 point and under games

Post#1 » by rrravenred » Tue Mar 2, 2010 11:00 pm

Got bored and started to fiddle with Basketball-reference. Here's a list of interesting statlines where players DIDN'T scored over 10 points (going back to 1987 only).

Highest # of rebounds: 22 by Diikembe Mutumbo and (yeah, I had to look twice) Jayson Williams
Highest number of blocks: 15 by Manute Bol (he also had 19 rebounds)
Highest number of assists: 15 by Terry Porter (with ONE turnover...)
Highest number of steals: 8 by (deep breath) Morris Peterson, Juan Dixon, Brevin Knight, Mookie Blaylock and John Stockton
Highest number of minutes whilst not scoring more than 10 points: a 50 minute marathon run by Chuck Hayes

Edit: Basic grammar failure

Scottie Pippen's game 1 of the 98 ECF:

He was 1-9, but was fairly dominant. He distributed well on offense (7 assists) but his defense changed the game on Mark Jackson. He forced Jackson into SEVEN turnovers, 5-12 shooting, Pip had 4 steals and Indiana's overall offensive efficiency was terrible.
