Hi guys,
I wanted to ask if you guys knew how the pages are generated for NBA statistics. I'm thinking about making a program that would retrieve the data off the servers, compile the raw data into all advanced statistics, and then create a listing of all players, teams, etc and would be sortable by teams, positions, etc.
For instance, Kobe Bryant's nba.com profile is here: http://www.nba.com/playerfile/kobe_bryant/index.html
In the perfect world, the XML files used in conjunction with XSL to create an HTML-page would be located in the same location but the .html would be .xml
Obviously, that doesn't work as I'm guessing nba.com is overly worried about somehow getting attacked/hacked.
If anyone knows where raw data could be retrieved, I'd be very grateful.
Obviously, this program would be open-source (duh) and available to anyone.
