...players that show how good/bad their defense is? More specifically, something like how many points another player scores on them. and is there an average for this?
also if this does exist, where do I find it? nba.com seems to have the basic, bare bones stats that are tracked without tracking more obscure ones.

MySynergySports Defensive Synergy Stats are the closest thing that you will find to this. They have points allowed per possesion, opposing FG% and opposing TOV% for each player. It will cost you though :/.

You can also track it yourself, at least for the team you watch most. That's what I'm doing when I watch Wizards games. I have stuff extracted from that tracking up on the Wizards board here at RealGM.
