As a Bulls fan I do not endorse this message.

why not? hes right. statistically, based on that formula he is second best.

He's not the 2nd best player statistically, he has the 2nd most points+rebounds+assists. Last time I checked, there are many, many ways to measure a player's productivity statistically, and this one doesn't do a very accurate job of that.

It's statements like this that give stats a bad name. No stat claims to rate which player is "best."

And what possible other stat is more important than points rebounds and assists?

I like Rose, I don't get why people hate him so much. The Bulls are legit, too. Once they get Boozer back they'll have a legitimate team.

Clearly, Rose is performing at a level never-before-seen in the NBA.

High FG% = awesome efficiency. Plus he's doing it with no talent around him at all.

I'd have to say that, atm, he's a top 3 NBA player. Behind Pau and Paul.

Rose's PER/TS% - 22.7/ .547
Westbrook's PER/TS% - 26/ .569

When russell is more efficient than you, you're doing it wrong. Rose is FAR from highly efficient

So what are you saying? Rose isn't efficient? just because he doesn't draw as many fouls as Westbrook doesn't make him inefficient. Look at shooting % and volume of shots taken.

Yes, he is not as efficient. True shooting % and PER are the two best efficiency stats in the league.

Yes, he is shooting the ball well, but that is just a part of being efficient. His 76% ft% and that fact that he can't get to the line that well make him much less efficient. PER and TS% take all this into account and rose just isn't that great at that part of the game.

Is rose good? Yes. Is rose efficient? No. Two different discussions

I was being facetious. I assumed it would be obvious...but FWIW, it's harder to be efficient when you're the only offensive option, as opposed to having one beside you.

LOL sure because PER and TS% are perfect stats to measure efficiency. Do you even know what all PER entails?

Rose is shooting .480 on high volume of shots with a decent clip of 3s @ .34 if that is called INEFFICIENT then put down whatever you are smoking in OKC and get some fresh air.

Yes, that is called inefficient when you're shooting 76% from the line and turning the ball over 4 times a game. There is more to the game than shooting percentages. All you have proved is that rose is shooting well from the floor this year.
