What do you think of Game Score?

I like to think of it was BR's signature stat.

However, there are some very weird results in how it ends up rating games.

I mean take a look at this game by Shaq.

And now this by Kevin Durant:

The Shaq game was 35.9 and the KD game was 36.1.

It seems GmSc favors volume scoring waaay too much and doesn't pay rebounding/defense/passing enough heed.

Do you like using this stat, or if not, any other you favor for a single game?

I'm not surprised considering GmSc is another Hollinger stat (PER seems to have a similar volume scoring bias). That said, it's a fun stat to look at now and then. http://www.basketball-reference.com/leaders/game_score.html

Game Score and PER have a scoring bias because IIRC, PER was developed to solidify Jordan's case as the GOAT, and his forte was efficient volume scoring.
