The Best Stat Right Now for Individual Defense??

I've tried searching this forum and didn't an answer really. Threads have been made but with very little definitive things. I understand it's harder to quantify good defense compared to offense but are you guys using RAPM or what? Synergy stats? Reason being because defensive rating wise and synergy wise Griffin is an elite defensive big this year... but somebody mentioned how both of those are flawed for whatever reason. I want to know where you guys find other more dependable defensive stats.

I saw in the Batum thread you guys used a different formula, think it was RAPM.
