Looking for any type of stat to objectively measure quality of shot selection.

Is it possible?

My thought would be find a way to determine the percentage of shots a player takes from their most efficient eras of the court.

Teams could definitely do stuff with the Sportsvu data looking at location of shot,degree of openness,shot clock time and whether a teammate was better placed .
