Offensive/defensive pace

Post#1 » by lumes » Thu Aug 25, 2016 9:45 am

Please, can anyone explain what precisely mean offensive pace and defensive pace for teams. I know the definition for pace overall, but for off/deff pace google can't help.

Pace is tempo of the game and determine time of the circulation of the ball ( which means average possesions of both teams ) .

There isn't type of offensive or defensive pace . Offensive possesions or defensive possesions , this is correct .

Offensive pace is a measure of how many possessions your team would have, per game, if it only played offense.
Defense accordingly.

Say, team A takes 15 secs for a possession on offense, but team A's opponents take 16 secs for a possession when team A is on defense. Here, team A would have a higher offensive pace
