Ranking Draft Prospects Statistically

In general, scouts use the eye test more so than statistics to determine where a player is drafted. However, how would I go about predicting the range a player is drafted in using statistics only?(also accounting for strength of conference and year in school)

My first thought is to use regression analysis but I'm not sure how well that will work out
