I saw this on wikipedia

"A pass that leads to a shooting foul and scoring by free throws will count as an assist (starting from the 2009-2010 season)."

I never heard of this change. Did it seriously take place? That's a huge change to the assist criteria.

No, there was no change like this. Someone wanted to be funny or something like this. It should be correct now.

The way the league is going it wouldn't shock me.
