LeBron and Durant could become 1st players in 20 years to...

average 30 ppg with a TS% above 60%. Only 5 players have done it in history, Malone Jordan Kareem Rick Barry and Dantley

Durant is currently at 29.8 on 60.4% and LeBron is at 29.9 on 60.8%

Durant needs to average 30.9 ppg for the rest of the season which should be very doable considering he's leading the NBA @ over 32 ppg since mid december

LeBron needs to average 30.5 ppg

Kind of crazy how efficiently both of these guys are scoring

Durant will be by far the youngest to accomplish this feat, Kareem averaged 31.4 on 60.6% @ age 23, and LeBron will be the only person outside of Jordan to average 8 assists while doing it.

Also Durant would be the 1st player in NBA history w/ 30 ppg on 48+/35+/85+

Lebron is a notch below 30 PPG.

Will be interesting to see if he can become the 5th non-post player to average 30 PPG on 50% shooting on the season.

By the looks of things the challenge will be getting the 30 PPG over the FG%

It's crazy that Lebron averages 50% from the floor taking a whopping 5 3s per game especially considering it's not exactly like he's Reggie Miller from beyond the arc either.

No player has ever scored 30 PPG on 50% on more than a full 2 3PA per game let alone a whopping 5.

Heck no one has even scored 20 PPG on 50% from the field taking a whopping 5 3 point attempts per game.

What Lebron doing is beyond remarkable if he can get that 30 point plateau and maintain that FG%

TS%>FG%

It scales 3P% and FT% into it.

Lebron knows he can "make up" his bad threes with drives to the basket to keep his FG% up. He basically can score off the dribble whenever he wants.

Why take 3's and not just drive all the time?

saves energy, establishes you as an outside threat, and still scores on decent efficiency

So you need to take those long range shots sometimes in order to enjoy that higher percentage inside? Okay, just checking.

shooting all 2 pointers at 50% = 1 point per shot

shooting all 3 pointers at 33% = 1 point per shot

catch my drift?

Well Durant just went from 29.6 ppg to 30.04 ppg in a week. He's now at 30.04 ppg with a TS of 60.54%

With Golden State and Memphis left on the schedule is appears Durant is going to become the first to do this since Jordan in 91.
