Wizards tbh honest have a terrific opportunity to tank. With Delon out we are now a Kristaps trade or injury away from a 20-25 win team. Outside of him and possibly Beal, everyone else has playing terribly.

Even just creative application of load management for Kristaps should make all the difference. No back to backs. Rest him against lesser teams, etc.

I’ve always maintained that trade stunk for the Wizards. Was better off keeping the pick than making a trade for a washed up Westbrook.

??
I think Jay81 was talking about the trade of Westbrook to the Lakers -- we didn't give up a pick in that trade. In fact, we got a R1 pick in the deal (unfortunately we proceeded to trade it to Indy for Aaron Holiday, a bad player -- thank heavens we got Todd too, huh?

We traded Wall & a heavily protected 2023 R1 pick (which we will be "keeping" btw) for Westbrook. Hence, I guess that's the trade you think "stunk for the Wizards."
In fact, both of those trades were tremendous -- or
...would you rather be paying John Wall close to $50m this year?
...or maybe, instead, you'd rather have bought him out for $40m+ or whatever it cost Phoenix? Is that it?
In either case, we also wouldn't have been able to trade Westbrook for 3 players & a R1 pick.
IOW, overall, we traded Wall & a R1 pick we aren't going to have to give up in return for a R1 pick a year earlier plus Kuzma, Trez & KCP.
But, wait... let's see it all the way through. We got a R2 pick & Ish for Trez, & we got Barton & Morris for Ish & KCP.
So, in all, we traded Wall's awful contract for a 2022 R1 pick, a future R2 pick, Kyle Kuzma, Monte Morris, & Will Barton.
You think that "stunk for the Wizards?" Can't wait to read your explanation...
