I'm a little lost.
Did we or did we not get the #35 pick in last night's draft?

If we did, does this not mean that Julian Philips is now a Wizard (i.e. will be when he's signed)??

We had the #35, we traded it last night to Chicago for 2 future 2nds. Philips is a Bull.

Did we ever get deets on which 2nds we received?

The temperature of this trade with the NBA media is very strange. I think more folks were surprised that Smart was able to bring back 2 FRPs which ended up being 1 b/c Boston traded down several times.

Folks seem to like it for the Wiz since they got Jones back, but for the most part, they're not quite sure with KP. That's mostly due to health and Boston trading for the Wizards version of KP when they're not getting that in Boston due to Tatum and Brown being there.

I too am lost on what picks we currently hold, and what we traded away. Have the trades we made not been finalized yet? How long does the NBA give to finalize trades?
I wonder if the Wizards FO is trying to make the CP3 trade into a 4 team trade…? And the KP trade into something more…? I was under the assumption that all this would be settled by the time the draft was done.

The CP3 trade can't be finalized until July 1st because of Poole extension I think.

This makes no sense at all ..... why would KP not get his 15 spg off in a much better offense with Boston. KP avg 15 spg ,scoring 23 ppg with the worst PG play in the NBA and will easily get just as many shots with less attn and defense on him . With Boston I can see his point production go even higher.

The second round picks are going to be a mess to sort through. First round pick wise, our '24 pick is top 12 protected, then it becomes top 10 protected in '25, and then top 8 protected in '26. There's a good chance we keep next year's pick. I'm torn on this, I don't want us to be terrible for 3 years, but the Cam Boozer/Cooper Flagg draft is in 2026, unless Cam reclassifies to 2025.

We have first round pick swaps with the Suns in 2024, 2026, 2028 and 2030. Good chance that won't be important until 2026 unless Phoenix just has the worse luck with injuries next season.

Tatum/Brown combined for 42 shots per game. Nobody on the Wizards took 18 shots per game. Lets not forget that Beal missed 32 games which opened up a lot of shots for KP.
