I still think we did fine. The guys I would have targeted I've already mentioned, Sarr (if Sarr had gone #1, I would have been utterly lost, and probably would have wanted a trade down for Topic, I wanted no part of Risacher, didn't care about Shepard, or Clingan (actually kind of hated the Clingan idea so many liked), was unsure about Dillingham and Castle, really the only guys I thought were worth are slotting or a trade down from it were Sarr, Topic, speculating on Salaun in a trade down (but he would've been gone before I was expecting if memory serves), I liked Edey more than Clingan but wanted neither of them (and as previously mentioned, hated Clingan), didnt know much about Bub but was fine w/him as our second pick, just preferred Collier (I like drafting guys projected to go super high who drop like a rock from just one off season, I like to take advantage of that because I sometimes think its small sample size madness, especially with young guys). I don't think I had a clue about McCain who it sounds like is one of the real steals of the draft. I don't remember having an opinion or even considering him. I was Dadiet curious as well.

All in all though I'm reasonably happy with what we did, Sarr is who I would have taken at 2, Bub was fine to me at slot, I wasn't a George guy and would have gone Collier I think, just for value.

I think they did just fine though. All the guys look like NBA players, which is something you can't really say about Johnny Davis, or Troy Brown. I just keep trying to envision the lottery, with the 5 slot revealed and it's some other team, and the 4 slot revealed and its some other team too, and then I breath a sigh of relief because we're getting one of the big 3.

In a fantasy re-draft, perhaps our re-do draft is:
2. Sarr
14. McCain
24. Collier

Just a fun thought exercise, no need to overreact :)

I probably would have taken Collier at 24. I was a fan of his ability to get to the rim and his overall physical play.

OTOH, I knew little to nothing about Kyshawn George.

That was then. Today, I’d lean toward taking George because of his superior height and length, better 3 pt shooting and, most importantly, his defense.

Kyshawn looks to be the prototypical 3 & D player.

My '24 redraft would have been to trade to a different year on all of our picks.

I think by the time rookie contracts are over. I think all three of our guys end up in the top 15 of a redraft.
