I will say that Mobley was on the receiving end of passes for wide open dunks early on in his career, opportunities that are just not available on this Wizards squad. Not saying Sarr isn't a bust but he's being asked to do a lot. Look at how good Deni is doing when he's surrounded by competent teammates.

Yeah, had Garland, Jarret Allen, and Markennan early on and then followed that up by trading Markennan and picks for Donovan Mitchell.

So maybe the gap isn't as large offensively but still pretty big when considering the defensive end as well.

Well. I’ll just say that if Sarr develops to a good player it will be a testament to this teams ability to develop young players.

Funny how people aren't rushing to his defense like they did earlier in the year when I pointed out his dismal efficiency. I never understood the 'upside' argument before the draft and still don't. I am just hoping he can be a serviceable 4, which is a long way off.

Dont really see the need to defend him. You want to attack a guy who was always a project who can stop you?

Pointing out his stats isnt an attack. It only seems that way to people who are in denial about how bad they are.

Frichuela wrote:Yep. Sarr's putrid shooting near the basket needs to improve massively. I heard Sam Vecenie say in his podcast that Sarr has the worst 2pt % of the entire team, and he is playing center... :banghead:

Things will improve dramatically when he grows into his body, he is a goofy 7 foot kid right now.

IMO, and I know I will be blasted on this one (but Doc said it first)... he will be much better if paired with a defensive rebounding C that needs the middle and Sarr is relegated to a 3&D guy.

Starting at C just makes him look awful.

They defend what they perceive as attacks. unfortunately some people perceive facts as attacks.

I'm generally for the tank but after the way we got punked the last game,
I'm not unhappy that they won. Maybe I'll come to regret this.

FWIW, Sarr, KGeo and Bub all had pretty good games. And my man Champagnie, love it.
Great balance.

Just be careful how often you do this.

PS - I wish they had covered Keefe's presser post game.
