I wonder where Sarr and Keyshawn would go in this draft

Is ace bailey even as good as Keyshawn?

Fair question but Ace is almost 2 years younger.

Keyshawn might just be the steal of this draft.

Can't believe I had a guest over and missed this one! Much as I believe in the tank, I just can't complain about winning with the young guys leading the way.

It's actually kind of a bad matchup for Denver. Jokic just totally ignored Sarr on defense, and Sarr is a good enough stand-alone shooter to make him pay. That was the weirdest 34-point game I've ever seen from a player. Sarr made maybe 3 or 4 contested shots. All the rest of his looks were WIDE open.

Insane! That was a fun watch! Seeing all 4 rookies play and contribute, Sarr and Keyshawn especially played great. Poole was spectacular in the 4th. Even Middleton played well.

Hate it for the tank obviously, but seeing the way these rookies are developing and stepping up, and the way Poole is emerging as a go to scorer really just entering his prime is exciting and its all good for us as a young and upcoming franchise.

And the players reaction when they won, and the confidence builder that game was for them individually and as a team is just priceless.

Replacing Coulibaly minutes with Champagnie minutes has made us a better team, for now.

Actually, this is a good point. Champagnie is a great fit next to Sarr given his strong rebounding. Justin is averaging 9.3 rebounds per 36 minutes.

Nuggets disrespected Sarr, he was playing angry. Still missed a bunch of close in shots due to his lack of bulk, and he was stuffed multiple times.

Sarr had several dunks and several wide open 3s.
Bad defense by Joker. Those are high value FGAs.
Things will get harder in the future. One good
thing he plays with guys who are all threats from 3.

Champagne > Corey and he will be making $10M+ less per year, I am annoyed that we have Corey under contract through 27/28
Kyshawn > Bilal, passed him by as a red shirt rookie, a shocking revelation.

Contested shots are bad shots.

Sarr did everything he was supposed to. Took the shots the defense gave him and made them. Now opposing centers have to take an extra step towards him on the perimeter.

Nate33’s right, it was a weird 34-pt night.

And Zonkerbl’s also right: he took what the defense gave him.

I’ll say this: the fact that Sarr is producing like this — and like he has been — is a really fantastic sign.

Because: he’s not even good yet.

He’s not even good yet, but he’s managing to put up numbers. And to flash other moments on D, like that great block at the end on Cade in that win vs. Detroit.

He may never be great, who knows.

But he hasn’t yet hit “good,” and the numbers are reason for hope.

Also?

What a win. Not just the W, but the WAY they played. And the spirit and camaraderie they played WITH.

That’s culture. That’s what we want to see.

Yes, a couple of top 3 picks in the next two drafts — but the last 10 games are evidence of an entire culture reset.

And that’s what Detroit lacked until this year, and what took Houston 3-4 years to achieve.
