Seems like a nice buy low move, solid rotation player when healthy, doesn’t break the bank. Can flip him for assets at the deadline next year.

Nobody is giving up good picks anymore. He won’t fetch a FRP. Or anything of real value. Just like all the flotsam we’ve got right now.

I don't know what bey has to do with deni but I've said it once I'll say it again. They just got an offer they liked

I like the move. Don't really see much of a downside or anything to complain about with this signing. Just need to figure out what to with other 24 guys on the roster.

Signing solid veteran role players on easily moveable contracts to flip for assets at some point. Even if it only turns into a handful of 2nd round picks, we’ve seen a team like OKC trade a handful of 2nds to move into the late 1st round.

It’s pretty clear that the timeline is centered around the 19/20 year old recently drafted players-Sarr/Coulibaly/Carrington, with the main goal of finishing bottom 4 in 2025/2026, keeping their pick(s).

As long as they follow it up with moving Kuzma/Kispert, and really tearing it all the way down to the studs, hard to be upset with a full rebuild, FINALLY.

Makes perfect sense in theory, assuming they priced him right. 3 years $20M means they think he is worth $10M a year for his final two seasons when he is healthy. If he does produce well enough to be worth $10M a year, he will have solid trade value in a year because his final 2 years will only cost $6.7M a year.

This may be a sign that Kispert is out the door.

I liked Bey coming out of ‘Nova. Not a guy who should start or get big minutes but he's a good fit as a 6th or 7th man. An above average 3pt and another long, versatile defender (6’11 wingspan). I really like this FO's penchant for length and defense.

OTOH, we didn't give up anything to sign him, & he's not terrible value or untradable at his salary.

Still... if he's really not going to play this year... not sure I get it.

He’s coming off a fantastic year pre-I jury and he has a 50+ point on his young resume.

What would make you think he had a fantastic year pre-injury???
Or, to put that another way, no he didn't.

It's an ok move. Hopefully, he doesn't play next season or plays towards the end. Cheap. BABAP -be as bad as possible to get one of the young phenoms.

The NBA is a great, injured players like Topic and Bey can earn millions in a no show job while they rehab…perhaps work 1-1.5 years later.

Really nothing not to like about this move. Doesn't hurt the tank. Brings us to the salary floor without having to suffer a good player who helps win games. Could be a great trade chip or potentially lines up with the window

I like the move. He will not be ready to play till maybe halfway through the season. That gives enough time to consider Kuzma trade options as the trade deadline nears. It’s a good plan.
Remains to be seen if he will be 100% when he returns or if he will be able to do the same things as he could pre-injury. But still, a good move given the cost and length of contract.
