John Keim said not to worry about Terry McLaurin yet. He said the last time Terry was up for an extension, he also held out until training camp. Snyder eventually intervened and told the front office to pay McClaurin last time because at the time "Washington needed the win" but this time around, Washington does not need good PR to make the move. The 49ers were also noted to have deals that went into minicamp apparently including Deebo. The point of contention obviously arises from McClaurin's age- whether or not he should be paid like DK Metcalf who is younger or to someone who is similarily aged like Mike Evans who has had more production throughout his career but better quarterback play.

Id rather move him than over pay him .

We have a good OL a solid core of RB who can pass catch. A solid TE. Debo may be washed or he may not be but we have a young solid WR core out side of that. Idk I know you need a #1 but **** I'd rather find one than over pay a guy who's a borderline #1 anyway.

JD5 has several years left on his rookie deal so now is the time we can afford to overpay vets. They definitely need to get Terry signed.

Maybe I've always just seen him as a meh number one guy. He's good he's a 1000 season guy pretty much every year. And last year was probably his best year. But he's 29 I'm sorry JD or not you shouldn't over pay guys just cuz. Terry is around #14 on contracts for WR. Is Terry the 14th best WR in the league? Right now he's in the Nico collins, Tyreek hill category. Now even accounting for wr inflation. I wouldn't pay him out side the 50mill contact range that he's in now. A bump sure but getting him into 60 or 70 and oncee you get above that **** no way not unless you front load the **** out of it.

The game plan was clearly conservative in the first few games and Terry didn't get many touches. It was news about how few targets he was getting.

He still ended up 15th in yards and 2nd in TDs in spite of being only 22nd in targets.
