Who should play more minutes? Blatche or Songaila?

Let's make it really simple:

Songalia does nothing on the basketball court better than OPEC.

OPEC is young, athletic, with mad range.

Every minute Songalia plays takes away from OPEC's development.

Songalia should not be in the rotation at all.

As an 11th or 12th man, a savvy veteran who can fill in in odd circumstances... you need extra hard fouls to give in a playoff series for example... Songalia is perfect.

Keep him... but please Eddie, please, please, please bench him.

That was more simple. The other post that was supposed t be simple.. Ahh. not so much so. I had get my HP calculator out for that one.

Coach, and let Opech and Blatche play through their mistakes. I wish we had a big-man coach like the Lakers have Jabar.

Exactly. I also posted about that recently. And to go along with my other more recently post about getting a line ups coach. Lets Summarize.

Shooting Coach - we added this year. Hoop. Everyone see the results.

D Coach - We have been wanting for years and finally got one. Ayers. Again, the result smack you in the face.

Bigg'ns Coach - lord knows we need one as our big dev. has sucked. This is as obvious as our need was for a D coach was.

Line Up/Rotations Coach
Since EJ has added knowing when to call a time out to his coaching skills this year, we only have a few more coaching skills to fill. With a line ups/rotation coach, EG won't have to EJ proof the team. No more wondering why AB is on the bench and Songaila is playing center against Ruffin. No more whole sale changes to Mason, NY, DMAC, Sogalia and OP when the game is still in the balance. No more not playing Haywood in the playoffs when we don't even have GA or CB. No more, I don't get what the hell EJ is doing with our line ups.

If we could add these 2 new coaches, I think we can win it all. As with our last 2 coaching additions, coaches should make the players better and give the talent the best chance to win, not rely on the talent to over come poor line ups.

EJ will be kept on board to keep some of the RealGM posters happy, for continuity and as was stated, manage all the personalities.

So who's on board with the plan?

For the record, I think Songaila's hurt.

I believe he was a decent offensive spark plug and that he could be good at SF or PF and even C against a team with no post presence--but not as good as Blatche.

I think Songaila's a decent player when he's healthy but EJ overuses him.

I DID NOT start this to say Songaila sucks. He's pretty good sometimes, and most of the time on offense when his body is right and he's relaxed.

McGuire needs to replace Songaila. There both 6'9" and McGuire is obviously the better rebounder, defender, quicker. Heck hes just more athletic and needs to be on the floor. Let Songaila ride the bench now.
