1. Antawn Jamison - game winner, ridiculous 2nd half
2. Antonio Daniels - nearly a triple double
3. Brendan Haywood - defended Kaman well, and had a great 1st half

Honorable mention: DOM

Just for the hell of it I'm going with The Live Wire Dominic McGuire. It's like the ball is a magnet and dude is an iron filing. Comes outta nowhere and sticks to it. Maybe next year he'll have an offensive game.

Randy Ayers for pinching Eddie Smalls with 4mins left in the game.

Jamison with the clutch tip in. Haywood second with a very good second half and out playing Kaman. Daniels and McGuire both for third, Daniels for his stat filled night, Dom for being a rebounding machine.

I've come to miss these threads.

I missed Nate in the game thread "posting chat" last night, particularly early as Haywood got off. I think EJ left him on the bench too long in the 4th but WTH, a win is a win.

1. AJ because whoever gets the hoop with .3 seconds left is the MVP.
2. AD....bum wheel, plays 45 minutes. His stat line was amazing.
3. (Tie) Haywood and DMac. I love the DMac simplified his game, didn't try to do too much, stuck with what he did best - defend (got a block) and board. When he can do that, he'll experience more success and it'll build his confidence.

AD for playing on a bad wheel. Maybe he should rest up for the NY game.

Excellent game winner by AJ, but had a soso game otherwise.

Dmac with another legit NBA game! Do we have a keeper?

EJ for bringing BH back in with 4 minutes left. I knew we had the game then. Kaman disappeared completely after that.

[Edit: Huh, AJ shot >50% for the game? Didn't realize that. He had a really crappy first half, so that's my excuse.]
Help us, Obi-wan Leonsis. You're our only hope.

I didn't get a chance to see the game, but after seeing the box score I came in to ask whether McGuire was actually playing like the next Dennis Rodman. I'm glad you beat me to that. But, um, when was the last time a Wizard put up a line like that? 0 points and 12 rebounds in 24 minutes? Did Ben Wallace ever do that?

C'mon... Show D'Song some love. That box out on the final shot was crucial. I voted for Haywood, though. That pass to Jamison was sweetbabyjesus.

If Songaila's "good" game is 3-10 with a bunch of turnovers, what is a great game?

Songailia scored all of his 7 points in the 4th quarter and his missed tipped in at the end led to Antawn Jamison putting it back in. Overall, it was pretty good game for him.

Anyways, my vote goes like this.

1) Jamison
2) Daniels
3) McGuire

McGuire got my vote. He have us 12 extra possessions and that helped us win the game.

I was simply giving him credit for the box out and tip at the end of the game. Jamison wouldn't have been able to win the game without it... While I usually hate to see The Song Bird in the 4th quarter of close games, I do think Songaila had a good game last night. I wouldn't consider 2 turnovers "a bunch" and other than the aforementioned play he had some important hustle plays in the 4th quarter.

Tough not to give it to AJ, but I'm going with McGuire. We were a ship sinking fast in the 2nd half and his energy and offensive rebounds kept us afloat.

I think that when Gil gets back, DMac will be an even bigger asset. We'll be able to afford one position with no scoring with Gil in the game... and DMac will give us extra possessions and drop in some pretty entry passes while working hard on the defensive end.

Both DeShawn and AD were, well ARE, gritty performers. Both worked their patooties off while playing on bad wheels.

I even have to praise Songalia who wasn't as sucky as usual last night.

1. Jamison. 9 of 11 in the 2nd half.

2. McGuire. 12 boards in 24 minutes is ridiculous for a 6-8 player.

3. Haywood. Totally owned Kaman in the first half. Played him to a draw in the 2nd half.
