If they wanted to tank this game they should have at least won yesterday guaranteeing a 3-2 road trip. This is the Wizards we are talking about though. Mediocrity is thy name. Another first round playoff exit is on the way if they continue to play with such lackluster effort on the defensive end.

Let's go Natssssssss!! 2-0!! 8)

If there's anything we can take from the last two nights it is that no one can deny that Nick and Dominic have a ton of potential.

I'm disappointed in this loss, but lets face it, EVERYTHING would have to be clickin' for the Wizards minus Arenas, Butler, and Daniels to beat one of the best teams in the West (especially after going into overtime the night before). However, it should be noted that if the roles were reversed and the Wizards were playing the Jazz without three of their starters and the Jazz coming off a tough overtime defeat, the Wizards would probably lose the game.

I love Caron to death, and he is tough with respect to his attitude and demeanor on-court, but good lord, the guy is brittle.

Huge bummer about CB but a good call to sit him. As the score showed, we were not likely to win this one even with him so it was best to rest him.

Not sure about this hammi though. Maybe the overtime was to much for him giving how much work he has been putting in recently after a long layoff.

The good news is we should be getting GA back.

Oh ya. I missed the game. Did I miss anything?

Good thing it only counts as one L. Time to come home boys. 2 wins is good. 3 would have been great but I'll gladly take 2.

What's up with Caron getting injured in overtime sessions? His last injury was in the Milwaukee overtime...

If I take off the two best players on the elite teams, sure they'd struggle, but never ever get embarrassed like this. EJ is fools gold. Only talent makes him look good.

Hey, that's my line :o

I didn't watch the game but I'm a true fan so I will so I can see what went wrong and what went right. I heard some on the radio. I have to see those DMAC dunks.

I didn't watch the entire game, so I didn't know that AK and Brewer were out. In any event, the point I was trying to make is that I like how the Jazz recognized a wounded and tired team and basically came out to destroy us. I wished the Wizards had that killer instinct. Maybe the Wiz will learn something about last nights game.

Although I wouldn't call this West coast swing road trip a complete failure, I wouldn't be satisfied with it. Although we won two games, both were against sub-par teams and we had to rally down from 15 point or more deficits to beat both. As for the three losses, only one was competitive and that team was also missing two key players. The other two were complete blow-outs. I would have hoped that the Wizards would have played with more focus and determination during the five game road trip given that they are fighting to keep the fifth spot (and trying to slide into th 4th slot).

To lean on a phrase that I usually can't stand, "It is what it is."

Calling the trip a smashing success or an abject failure doesn't change any of the realities of the situation: that the Wiz won two and lost three, and that they have a game to prepare for tomorrow.

This is one of the most amazing box scores I've ever seen. Utah scored 129 points in a slow-paced game -- just 86 possessions per team. This means that Utah had an offensive rating of 151 (pts per possession x 100). League average is about 107. The Jazz had an efg of .685 -- an outlandish number. They had as many offensive rebounds as the Wizards had defensive -- typically the defensive team gets at least 2 defensive boards for every 1 offensive board they allow. In other words, the Jazz made a ton of shots, and then got back most of the ones they missed. I doubt Utah's ortg is the highest in league history for a single game, but it's the highest I've ever seen.
