it definitely was a playoff atmosphere just by watching it on ESPN. I don't know if anyone else noticed, but not only were the players excited about this win, but EJ.......wow...i mean....i've never seen him so excited after a win in the regular season OR the playoffs.

heck of an effort by everyone to beat the Celtics for a THIRD time this year

I wish I would have DVR'd the game on ESPN so I could watch what it was like. I love watching Nationally televised Wiza games but this season, it seems like they are the only games I go to.

2. Stevenson - He shut Ray Allen down. And then when Pierce got a little frisky, Stevenson shut him down too. I loved that charge he took on Pierce in the low post. Just beautiful. I'm so happy to have a tough street fighter like Stevenson in the lineup. He's one of the biggest reasons for our success this year.

3. Haywood - I thought he had a real good game. His numbers are lackluster, but he clogged the paint all night. Boston got nothing in the middle unless it was on an offensive rebound after Haywood had challenged the initial shot.

I can't agree with Hands11 about Butler. I thought Butler looked pretty bad. His defense was terrible and he had 7 turnovers. He really looks like he has concrete in his shoes out there. There is no quickness, no explosion in his step. He's definitely not 100%. We've got to get him some rest before the playoffs.

Unsung hero: DeShawn Stevenson. Good to have a tough bastard on the team. Since he called Lebron overrated he's ascended to the top of my favorites on this team. I love his attitude and the sneer and the the disdain he has for opponents. Reminds me of Roberto Duran when he punked Ray Leonard. Just scaring people to death can get them out their games. DeShawn scares opponents at the three point line and with his defense.

That toughness is what sprouted when Gil got hurt. Now, the Wizards can say they've got Gil and four tough dudes--DS, AJ, CB and Brendan.

They bring toughness off the bench in Mason and Songaila. Nick Young is a cocky scorer. Andray has shown moments where he can dominate at both ends.

DeShawn's toughness has really been the glue through the entire year. I thought he and Jamison would miss games following the injuries they had against Milwaukee. Nope. Both guys are equally deserving the toughness that folks attribute to just Caron.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

I got to show some lov for wood...shot clock winding down and he dribbles to middle of the paint and pulls up for a jumper..and swish. couldn't believe how far he has come.
Stevenson...st8t warrior...with that three to answer boston when they were closing in on us int eh final five minutes. Blatche...shuttin' the lane down on the allen drive...and that wiz defense...intercepting the kick out by ronjo... Let my name ID name come true..i have kept this name since the MJ days...and can the wiz finally pull it together...and make my vision come true.

There are certain NBA players on RealGM.....

What I get a kick out of is when they post and you respond directly to them as if you don't know their alias. :)

The secret's safe with me, anyway.
