1. Mason Jr. - Got us the lead in the first place, and continued it throughout the game.
2. Butler - After Mason gave the Wiz the lead, he made it a comfortable one. Nice defense on the LeBron as well.
3. Haywood - Stellar defense on Z and another nice night on offense for Brendan.

I have to give it to Haywood. He scored most of the early points, goin gright over Z in the process. He also shut down Z on the defensive end - and with Wally not showing up, neutralizing Z meant that LeBronze had no other legitimate offensive threat on the floor with him. He could have scored 50 and the Wiz still win comfortably.
But it's the other stuff that makes me want to recognize BTH. Would anyone have guessed, 365 days ago, that Haywood would be the guy who:
* Was the only one to play with any real heart in Game 2
* Has been delivering the hard fouls, sending a message to the Traveliers
* Called out the team for selfish play
* Rallied behind the Coach, serving to reinforce EJ's message to the team and to the media
Wow.
Gotta give the man his due.

Oh, and I can't believe Mason is 2nd in voting, with a lousy +/- of only +19!
For the record, I'll list my top 3:
1. Haywood
2. Stevenson
3. Mason

I liked Brendan's annoyance when being asked about a Gilbert quote:
"Why are you still interviewing this man?" Funny.
Here.

DeShawn's winning but he shouldn't even be in the top three.
In the first quarter, Mason really got the run going. After Daniels provided a spark, Roger went off. Seven straight points by Roger was the first spurt for the Wizards.
Caron had a strong second quarter. He and Roger closed out the second and put the Wizards up 16.
Brendan was strong all game, especially so mentally. After getting an early technical Brendan avoided taking the bait from Ilgauskas who wanted to try to get Haywood ejected. Instead, Brendan's hook was smooth, his defense was very active, and he even played very well with Blatche.
If I voted on POTG in order it would be Haywood, Mason, Butler.
Jamison had a strong third and DeShawn had a very strong fourth, but all they did was win those two quarters of a game that was already decided.
Without Haywood the Wizards would have lost. Mason took great shots after the ball was moved. Caron made some great drives and he covered Lebron decently.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.
