I'm not a huge EJ supporter but I can't condone this kind of behavior from our "superstar". As much as I like Gil i don't know if we should be giving him a ton of money when players like Jamison and Caron are much better cornerstones. We'll see how this all plays out...
Well, GA is what he is. We know that. But I can see his struggles.
I'm sure his head is spinning a little. He went from a humble likable guy who was a 2nd round draft choice that he perceived as a diss to
Agent 0/Hibatchi star, to an MVP candidate who owned DC playing a wide open Giberology game. He got on the cover of video game boxes and started doing national commercials and got paid. Then he got injured.
In that time the team gelled as CB arrived big time on the seen as a humble, tough, focused leader who can make clutch shots while playing a balanced team game of pts, reb, assists and steals. And before his injury, CB was a top 10 MVP candidate, he made the All Star team 2 times a row and was one of 3 players who posted 20+ pts, 7 boards, 5 assists and 2 steals. The others being Kobe and Lebron
CB is a mature 28 year old star 1st round draft choice 10 th pick who is coming into his own and ready to be a super star and lead this team.
GA is an 26 year old young man with tons of talent whos world have been turned upside down. It's time for GA to take the next step in maturity and put it all together.
If if can, the combination of the 2 could be very dangerous. Specially when you add the talent of BH, NY, AB and AJ.
But the days of GA just being GA and playing ball with a Gibertology approach are gone. At least in DC they are. So it's up to GA what he does next. Does he want to be the Gilberolgy Gil on another team or does he want to be a part of something special here.
