Capwise, we really won't have too much trouble keeping Arenas and AJ. The Wizards have about $27M under the luxtax next year, and $25M under the luxtax in the following year (after accounting for draft picks). They have $44M in luxtax room after that.

Arenas and Jamison won't cost that much - not when nobody else in the league has more than $12.5M available in cap room. For more info, look at this thread.

There is no need to dump Etan. And even if we did try to dump Etan, we wouldn't sacrifice Blatche to make it happen. Etan can still play. He's not THAT overpaid. I imagine we could trade Etan plus the 2009 1st round pick for an expiring contract. In a worst-case scenario, we'll just barely creep over the crap for one year in 2009/10. My guess is that ownership would rather pay the luxtax for one year instead of dumping Blatche.
