"Character, Commitment, Connection"

Post#1 » by miller31time » Tue Sep 2, 2008 1:30 am

"Character, Commitment, Connection" is apparently replacing "Go All In" as our new slogan.

It's at the top of the Wizards' website (which, by the way, has gotten a bit of a face-lift).

Thoughts?

Good find, millertime.

If this indeed the new team slogan, it doesn't do much for me...

Character? Yes, we have a few of those on this team - Arenas, Blatche and Young seems to be a rising knucklehead as well.

Commitment to what? 1st round losses?

I'm not connecting to this slogan...

:-?

With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

You can't knock the character of this team. Apart from Blatche's little mishaps, this is a damn good team any fan would be proud of. Our players aren't frequenting strip bars with guns, lighting up joints, or taking speed limits as mere suggestions. I can't swear for them ofcourse, but if they are they haven't been caught, that just means they're damn good at it and that's also something to be proud of...I think. We do have commitment, the commitment management shows to our players and staff, not adhereing to the whims of the masses and staying the course. Continuity may indeed kick ass.

Connection just doesn't do it for me, I live in frikkin NY. The only connection I have is the fuggin League Pass David Stern charges me $150 big ones for. To hell with connection, I'm going pirated streams for 2008-2009 baby!! David Stern can connect that to his hemroid arse and light it with 100 watt bulb! :wordyo:

It sounds more like the theme of a sappy corporate retreat than a rallying cry for a title run. I dare to say that even La Sooz could have done better.

Should have been "middling, mundane, mediocre"
