Hopefully...by December.
Realistically...maybe before/after Allstar break.
With Wizard medical staff...his career is over.

in his blog he say he plays nick young one-on-one during practice. so he's able to play basketball at this time, but he still needs to get the strength back in his knee. he said look for him to be back mid-december early january.

At this point, why should he come back in late December/early January?

Give him another month or two rest, minimum. Let him heal not just 100% but 110%.

With how we're doing currently, Gilbert will do us more harm than good. Rest him, get a high lotto pick, and compete seriously next season by either keeping the pick and rebuilding or trading the pick and a veteran for a superstar.

You I should really be hoping EFJ keeps his job so we will suck and get a good pick ?

^^^ You raise a good point.

Should this board really want EJ fired right now? We should probably be hoping for him to get fired by the end of the season.

So in summary...

-Make Gilbert sit until about 1 month left in the season (so he can get a feel for the game again)
-Keep EJ for the length of the season, fire near the end or at the end of the season
-get a top 3 pick
-either trade pick with fillers for a star player OR keep pick and trade away veterans

I'd be satisfied with a top five pick. All we need is a starting quality four.

You could also package Blatche + our pick for a higher pick.
Help us, Obi-wan Leonsis. You're our only hope.

I wouldn't be so sure about moving up. That's very situational. Who's
there? Who do the teams like? How the chips fall. It's far from automatic
that we "could" do this.

I wouldn't care to move up in this upcoming draft. Heck, I don't even want to keep the draft pick. I'd trade it for an established stud because I don't see any great players in this upcoming draft except for maybe Rubio and possibly Mullens.

Current status of Gilbert Arenas: Sitting at the end of the bench sporting some bizarre looking suits. Going for the Tory-on-Acid look I think.

I really do wonder if he will ever be the player he was at his best.
