Maybe he wants to trade and blow this team up but he's not finding any takers. On Monday night, who knew Antonio Daniels was on the trade block? None of us had any idea.

Don't ask me why but I have this weird vibe that Jamison will be moved this season.

Heck, I'm not even sure if Butler will finish the season as a Wizard.

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

Excellent point.

Etan has showed that he's healthy enough to play. Songaila has come alive offensively and played solid positional defense. Those are our two worst contracts right there. And if Mike James can get hot while Gil is out, he'll be eligible to be packaged with other players about a week before the trade deadline.

I think Ernie is just getting started.

... and then your view on whether or not the team is thinking smartly. I agree with your view - though I don't think the playoffs are a realistic goal - and I think it's a goal they should steer far away from. Play the young'ns - develop them - and get a high pick. Just don't use the t word. Follow the San Antonio path. You won't get Tim Duncan v. 2, but Monty Hall should have something nice behind door # 2.

That would be awesome if instead of Stern or the bald deputy commish who looks more sickly than Michael Stipe, if Monty Hall hosted the draft lottery. Or what about Barkley or even Dave Chappelle? I'd love to see him making fun of teams for their misfortunes.

Chappell hosting the NBA draft - immitating Stern... priceless.

Of all our bad contracts, Songs is the one I'd like to keep. He's does all of the little things, is tough, and will hit an open jumper (unlike D-Suckashawn).

The only condition on any Jamison trade would be that D-Suckashawn would be included in any deal.

Pretty amazing that we would be free of Etan if Larry Hughes hadn't gotten injured for the 100th time.

But keeping Songaila presents longterm problems. Haywood will be back and that means less minutes at C available for McGee and Blatche. My guess is that McGee would be the backup C and that leaves Blatche to get whatever minutes at PF that aren't taken by Jamison. There just isn't room for another player. If you want Songaila to get any minutes, who are you going to take it from? And we haven't even mentioned Pecherov.

The flipside is that Songs has probably raised his value. He's much more movable IMO than D-Suckashawn.

Right...that was my point. I was just responding to your statement that you wanted to keep him. If you're saying keep him until the trade deadline because he's playing his way into decent trade value, then i agree with you. But I don't want the team to keep him any longer than that. IMO Ernie has to move 3 of the folliwng 4 at the deadline for this team to have any chance of growing in the second half of the season:

Etan Thomas
Darius Songaila
DeShawn Stevenson
Mike James

Antonio Daniels was nothing but a professional, but his best days are behind him. He didn't serve much purpose on the roster. I like how the Wiz are trying to build a young core.

Blatche, McGee, McGuire, Young and now Critt. (left out Pech on purpose)

Of course not all of them are going to pan out, but Young and McGee look promising already and if they get Blatche to be consistent that's three decent young players right there.
much respect to the 2011-2012 champions, Miami Heat, well deserved

If the team keeps losing, anything is possible.
