Magicfan, this stuff has been going on ever since our first playoff series with the Cavs. LeBron got away with murder in the last two minutes of every game.
Nobody has forgotten his infamous travel for the game winner. At this point, most of us don't even get pissed, just disgusted at the joke NBA has become. The concept of team game has evaporated and it's all about the stars now. David Stern has made life miserable for fans of teams who don't have upper echelon stars.

Re: I hate the NBA
Man, I never thought I'd care about the rest of the games this season. I mean, we're missing 2 starters, we play no defense and we just plain suck.
But the outcome of that game has really disturbed me to the point where I'm not sure how I can continue to support and be a fan of the NBA anymore. I can't stop talking about it or writing about it online because it was just so blatant and obvious. And iIt sucks because no one cares about what happened, it's not like we're some marquee team that demands answers regarding this kind of screwjob. I really wish there was something we could do as fans to start discussion in the media about the NBA being flawed. Last night I had visions of a whole section at the Phone Booth holding up signs that would collectively read "the NBA is rigged" during a nationally televised game where they would HAVE to confront the issue. Too bad no one around here (or anywhere for that matter) cares enough to pull something like that off. Not to mention that they don't allow signs in the arenas anyway hahaha.
I don't know. I've been a fan of the NBA for so long but maybe I'm finally realizing that it's just not what I thought it was. Guess I should've had this epiphany, at the least, 3 years ago when we first got screwed in a series against the NBA's cash cow.

They don't allow signs, but they do allow shirts. I don't know after that game I can't see me paying to go to a game let alone also getting a shirt to protest it.P'Oed wrote:Man, I never thought I'd care about the rest of the games this season. Team is up 7 with 1:30 and you blame the refs and think the NBA is rigged? That is very interesting

Re: I hate the NBA
I'm down with trying to bring more attention to it. Be it T-shirts, you tube....whatever it takes.
I've seen David Stern interviewed about the 'superstar' treatment. He brushes it off with such a condescending attitude and refuses to actually discuss this matter openly. Face it, what wold you make of joining an organization which openly violates the 1st amendment of the constitution? Speak the truth, you will get fined.
Call Tim Donaghy whatever you like, but I believe it when he says the fix is in. Hell, if it's fixed anyway, why not profit?
WWE = NBA
