I loved the "double Dwight when he gets the ball anywhere on the floor, even if he's too far from the basket to reasonably score, so that he just kicks it to the open man who nails a 3" strategy. With coaching that good, it's no wonder the young guys get no minutes. Either A) take your chances with Dwight and attempt to draw offensive fouls (which our guys did well today, particularly McGee) or B) Foul him every single time he touches the ball. Don't double and let a team that can shoot as well as the Magic beat you from beyond the arc.
Anyway, enjoyable game to watch and a nice tank loss. Good game from the rooks with solid leadership from AJ. Can't really complain all that much about the players.

I'm a Marylander, born and raised (still live here, today), so naturally, I'm a huge Terps fan and Dixon fan.
Juan is the type of player that is either "on" or "off". There, usually, isn't an in-between, not at the pro level, at least. In college, he was the man, and was able to play more consistently, but at this level, Juan has a tough predicament. He's not a natural point guard, so he can't play there full time, and he lacks the size and strength to be a shooting guard. Basically, he has to rely on his jumpshot, which is streaky.
He's a great "Break Glass in case of emergency"-type player but not one that I'd want to see get starter or prominent-bench-player minutes. I'd play him a little bit, see if he's feeling it, and base the rest of his minutes off of that answer.
BTW: I'll never forget his game back in 2004-2005 against the Bulls in the playoffs, where he essentially took over and won us the game. That was an incredible performance.

From everything I've read, the NBA doesn't usually sell full-game tapes. You may be able to find some at Ebay or a site like that, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Mostly enjoyable basketball last night, glimpses of us emerging from the suckiness. If they hadn't killed us with three's we might have escaped with the win.

I think most teams that lose to the Magic say this. They've surrounded a dominant big man with great three point shooters. They're tough.

Yup, the now-infamous back-story.
