Interesting that people are saying this right after Young had two of his better games. In last two games he has shot 45% from the field while scoring in double figures. In his last game he even grabbed a couple rebounds, had an assist and a steal. Yes he had a few turnovers but so did other guys like Butler, Oberto, Foye, etc.

I wouldn't call Young one dimensional either. Sure, his primary strength is that he's a scorer but he can score virtually anywhere on the court: (mid range, at the basket, 3 point range, dunks on arrogant primadonnas). In the short term, Young can be a quality reserve. He can be like Juan Dixon was off the bench.

If at best the Wizards are going to get for him is a 2nd round pick, not sure why the Wizards would be in any rush to trade him. Moreso, trading both Stevenson and Young would make are depth very weak in the short term. Not sure which team is going to give back a high quality guard in return for those two unless the Wizards take on more salary.

I bet the Wizards are keeping Young right now as an insurance policy. Remember, Miller and Foye are free agents this upcoming offseason.

Mitch Kupchak earlier this year commented on how that Young was a 3-4 year project player who had a HUGE amount of potential. Not sure why the Wizards should give up on him now especilly since at his present state he's still a solid scorer off the bench. Hopefully, guys like Saunders and Cassell can coach him up. Plus we know how much better guys better alongside Gilbert Arenas.

And if the Wizards start winning, and Young puts up similar stats like he did this year. His value will go up.
