Nick.

I'm giving the nod to Haywood despite the 4th q heroics from the mighty sparrow. Bogut was coming off injury but Haywood frustrated him into a 4-14 night. Contributing to 1/3 of the teams total boards (14 boards) even adding a couple steals, he notched the game high +10 +/- (wait, now that I look, Luke Imyourfathernour had +11). Still per usual without his contribution Bonky's 4thq heroics mean nothing. If we had Boikins last year but no Haywood we still win only maybe 20 some-odd games. Easy to overlook his steady contribution but it's just too key.

Loved Nick Young's efficient scoring, if you overlook the turnovers. Way to carry the slack on a night when our frontline scorers were weary from the back to back. He's even mixing in a few rebounds now, and essentially played SF at some points in the game.

Too close for comfort, but again, first you win then you get good.

Flip is starting to shine now that he is settling in and his players are starting to settle in.

Nick with his game and new arm bands is reminding me of Hughes in some ways. I though he would work well as the SG given Gil was starting at the PG. Lets see if he can finally settle in. If he is finally getting his head in the game to the point we can keep him starting with these guys then his game is going to evolve a lot faster. He would really benefit from playing with GA, CB, AJ and Wood.

Flip playing Gil at the SG and NY at SF some works fine in my book.

Nice thing is once we settle in to these core line ups, then the frame work is there to take things to the next level with McGee, Blatche and DMAC.

What I really liked is what I saw from GA. I think having Boykins is really helping Gil settle down. GA was really working off Haywood picks and shooting on balance from mid range. If wasn't over playing. This is just what Gil needs as he works himself back into a grove and gets his shooting confidence back. The key for Gil is to shoot a high percent and to play a smooth effortless game of 15+ pts... hopefully around 18 - 25 pts and 8 to 10 assists.

Boykins is just so key to this team though. Mature, quick, effective PG. This really is benefiting Gil a ton and the team as a whole. Had we had a Boykins last year I think we would have won more games. How many is hard to say but he would have helped the young player develop quicker because he would have set them up and got them in position.

Things are looking hopeful again. We need to build a base with what we have so we are ready when MM is healthy again. Should be interesting to see what happen when we add Crit again.

LMAO Haywood with 35 minutes. Not if EJ was here. That said, I do want to see McGee gets some minutes. I think Flip will continue to work him in. We still have upside.
