Why cant gil just move to the 2 for the sake of the team? He would be even more dangerous as a player.. It would help us a lot.

Ive been asking for that for over five years. Should be interesting to see what response you get.

Problem is, year after year we never draft or bring in a top flight PG. It would be hard to move him there with the healthy bodies we currently have. All you could do it start Boykins at PG. While it would be interesting to try, it by no means a no brainer move. At least if we had Critter healthy, we would have more options. Crit is at least a good size and can fast break with Gil.

But right now I think they are focused on Gil getting his grove back. Changing his position isn't going to work for Gil. He wants to be AI at PG. Ball in hand .. shooting whenever he feels it so he doesnt have to think. I believe that is where we are right now.

But going back to DS. If we cant even get DMAC in for DS, I doubt we are going to see Gil moved to SG. At least not with the players we currently have.

Gil can't defend 2's... Who is going to play PG when Gil plays off the ball... Boykins..!??! Foye...?!?!? And is there any proof that he's better off the ball than handling it...?? Unless there is, I rather have him bringing up the ball...

Another thing... When Gil plays the 2, what I noticed is he tends to just stand around doing nothing, which is why he wasn't really that active when Boykins was "dominating"...

I wouldn't want to see Arena at the 2. Then again I don't want to see Arena, Bruce at the 1 either. Now Gil Arenas, that's a different story, especially if he can come nearly all the way back.

The Wizards have options at the 2, but do not to seem to have found out the best option/combination. Arenas is the only starter level player at PG on the Wizards roster. Using Boykins for more than a 10/15 mpg spark off the bench is a problem. Critteton does not seem to be able to contribute much beyond garbage time minutes.

If the Wizards had a big PG who could match up with SGs defensively I could see the reason for moving Arenas to SG.
