Speaking of winning one against Toronto, the worst part was they only had to wait three or four days to get the Wizards again.
Right now as I post, Toronto leads Chicago 76-46.
The Wizards woke them up it seems.

Re: 09/10 Season Stats Thread...
Pace-adjusted per-36 stats for the last 10 games, ranked by average minutes played:
Some good news here. Arenas is starting to look like the ideal PG we all hoped we'd have. He's averaging 20 points and 7.5 assists with his turnover rate down to 3.1. (In the first 10 games, he averaged about 6.1 assists with 4.3 turnovers.) If Arenas can get his eFG% back up to where it was 3 years ago while doing everything else just the same, he'd average about 22 points with a PER around 20. (I don't think that's an unreasonable expectation for his scoring efficiency to reach his old level since we're asking him to do it with a lower usage rate. I think he'll get there as he continues to chip away the rust.)
Butler is also slowly getting better. His PER over the first 10 games was 12.6. In the last 10, it's 14.5.
As we all know, Blatche isn't getting enough minutes. He continues to post a PER in the 17-18 range, unfortunately, he's only averaging 19 minutes a game in the last 10 games. (He averaged 28 minutes per game with a PER of 17 in the first 10 games.)
Haywood has given up the shot-happy tendencies of his first 5 or 6 games and has settled down to post his customarily high FG%. His FT% on the season is just 63%, but mostly due to that dreadful Toronto game when he shot 1-9. Ignore that game and he's shooting a respectable 70% from the line.
Deshawn continues to put up amazingly sucky numbers. It's astounding to me that we actually start a player with a PER of 0.
The stats of Foye, McGee and McGuire are pretty meaningless. Sample sizes are less than 80 total minutes.

Re: 09/10 Season Stats Thread...
Good stuff, nate.
Nick's PER is surprisingly low but if 82games is to be believed his opponent PER is lower. He's doing much better defensively than the guy with a PER of 0.1.
Blatche's steals, rebounds, and reduced both fouls and turnovers compare with the past are very impressive. He's 23 years old and signed cheaply. Should be starting IMO.

Re: 09/10 Season Stats Thread...
Pace-adjusted per-36 stats over the last 10 games, ranked by minutes played per game:
Arenas looks like his former superstar self. His TS% isn't quite there yet, but it's close. His scoring, rebounding and assist rate over the past 10 games are at career high levels.
Butler is creeping up to his former self as well. He used to post PER's in the 18-20 range back in the day. Now his PER is in the 16-17 range and he's playing better D.
Jamison is a little down from his quick start, but he is still taking care of business. His rebounding is real low though. Maybe it's the shoulder.
Haywood is Haywood. He is shooting less and less as the season wears on. It looks like he is doing his part to play unselfishly and allow the other players to get into their groove. His rebounding and shot blocking continue to be stellar.
Young is shooting much less, and shooting with much more efficiency. He is doing exactly what is expected of him. He is playing good D, taking shots as they come to him, and deferring when the shot isn't there. I'd like to see more rebounds and assists out of him, but let's take it one step at a time.
Blatche is struggling big time with his shot. His 46% TS% is atrocious. He's doing real well in the rest of the box score though. His blocks and steals are great, and his rebounding and passing is solid. He just has to get that jumper to fall again.
Boykins continues to do his thing.
Stevenson.
Foye has nice numbers in an extremely small sample size. I wouldn't pay much attention to the numbers of Foye, McGuire and McGee.
Overall, we should be winning more games with the way everyone is playing. I think the losing is directly attributed to Deshawn Stevenson, who's embarrassingly bad play has managed to drag down the performance of the entire team despite solid number from everybody else.
